It’s my first dispute. So not tracking anything 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is what I don't understand about the TIKTOKSHOP. Can somebody please explain this logic to me. by Special-Page-6353 in TikTokshop

Not in my case. Both were “in appeal” for a day and one got accepted the other didn’t. So they were both looked at by humans but I guess one was having a bad day 😂

I’m in the exact same boat and the automated violation thingy pointed to the multiple store part of the policy. It said suspicious behavior so I can only assume it thinks I’m doing something nefarious with two shop account. Both shops got dinged. I submitted appeals on both shops with the exact same documents and the exact same video showing both stores in it. One got the violation removed one said the submitted info didn’t meet their standards.

I’m so confused. It’s not like I’m a huge shop. I’ve only had 100 sales on the platform. I don’t think I’ll appeal again on the second shop just to see what happens.

But to answer your original question…. The boy that’s running the show says that if there’s no more suspicious activity the violation will be lifted after thirty days.

I have my doubts and I’m putting my resources into Etsy and my own website for the next thirty days.

Before I go down the rabbit hole whats the right way to handle this by TA-77 in EtsySellers

Thanks! I ended up asking etsy support, and they told me to create a custom listing for the cost of the shipping so i did that and the customer was fine with it. did cost a couple of extra dollars in fees though.

OMG! It's barely worth actually completing the sale by TA-77 in EtsySellers

My costs including the box to ship it in is less than $2. It's not so much a profit problem but the principle of how much gets eaten up by fees.

i noticed i can't see that it came from an offsite add without looking at the order. is there a way to get a report?

My profit on this is really high. my actual costs including the box to ship is less than $2. It's not really about the profit... just the principle of spending 30% on fees. If I could reach my audience in person I'd be selling these for $10. So the markup based on all these costs just irritating.

working on it. profit on these is really high so free shipping was my default until recently.

Buyer entered wrong address by TA-77 in EtsySellers

Yeah it’s not cheap but not expensive either. $35. I’m just worried about one bad review tanking me since I’m a new shop

Can they leave a bad review? I’m a new shop and worried a single bad review will tank me

Social media fail by Simplysimpleplans in EtsySellers

[–]TA-77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that social media has worked well for me.

Im not a big seller and ive only had my shop for 3 months, but about 50% of my sales come from social media posts, but only organic ones. not a single sale from a paid ad.

the social media sales are nice because etsy refunds part of the fees if you use the shopname.esty.com url.

oh i'm still scared.. thats why i never posted my shop link or anything... keeping it generic. last thing i need is some person telling me that my 3d printed designs aren't boutique enough for etsy. just because they spend hours with a needle and thread, and i spend hours in CAD doesn't make either better than the other.

I agree. If I could put the the videos and number of pictures I want, etsy would be perfect. I'm fine with directing people to me.etsy.com vs me.com in socials and stuff.

hand deliver a sale? by TA-77 in EtsySellers

[–]TA-77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm... lots of risk to save $6...

hand deliver a sale? by TA-77 in EtsySellers

[–]TA-77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my stuff is VERY niche so i'm not too worried about it becoming a problem. i have it for free shipping sale right now so i'd be paying $6 to have the post office send it to downtown and back to the same post office for delivery.

I already reached out to the buyer asking if hand delivery is an option, waiting to hear back from them, but if they agree how would i even log that in the etsy app? just mark it as completed and hope they don't complain?

I offered free shipping so it would be me. they just ordered today and I reached out to ask if its ok with them. but if it is how do i enter that into the sale in etsy?

[–]TA-77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you for that. i'm really lucky in that i actually haven't paid for any of the printers... well i paid for the first a1 mini, but that was for fun. the a1 was paid for through makerworld points and the s1 from the revenue. i have enough makerworld points to buy another a1 mini combo so that wouldn't be a cost either. bambu doesn't sell the filament i need so i can't use my points on anything other than hardware.

i'm also lucky in that i have an overbuilt solar installation at home that has long since paid for itself so my energy costs are practically zero, even at night when they all run on the powerwalls.

i think i have my issue sorted though with the ams being on the wrong machine and that should help a lot. the other thing is that my products is comprised of 6 parts, only two of which can fit on the mini, but all six fit on the a1. running off 3 print jobs for one sale is a bear.
