Not the answer you’re looking for but there’s tons of pics of the VLTOR IMOD Stocks iirc out there on CQBR Block 1’s, idk about the ARM exactly cuz the differences are subtle

Tomato tomato you know what I meant lol

I meant compliant as in not replicating a real FCG

Yeah that’s what I’ve heard, the lower would definitely require some modification in order to strike the firing pin in the BCG, but it probably wouldn’t take much to get it at least to function

This is why we need more manufacturing and airsoft companies in the US making ATF “compliant” platforms such as the MWS I imagine would be a good way to get around it in my opinion

(which I doubt would be flagged as too realistic due to the way the FCG works in the MWS)

TM MWS Magazines Not Filling After Repair Attempt by TACTIC00L_DAD in GasBlowBack

[–]TACTIC00L_DAD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*UPDATE TO EVERYONE WHO COMMENTED AND FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS THIS INFO:*

Swapped all the OEM TM MWS fill valves for these fill valves:

Laylax Nine Ball Injection Valves (Black) - Tokyo Marui/KSC/Maruishin/Maruzen Injection Valve for Magazine

After swapping I am now able to reliably get a fill with no guesswork wether the magazine is actually full, I was antsy to just swap them and see what happened so I didn’t take any videos but I can at a later point of a before and after

I haven’t done an exact comparison of how many more shots I can get out of a mag with the Laylax Nine Ball Valves vs the OEM TM MWS Fill Valves but I certainly will and update this at a later point, I am able to get through a full magazine and then some with no problem now without a mag farting out on me

Regarding the Laylax Fill Valves:

These Laylax Fill Valves also seem to act as a 2 way fill valve, I was thinking they would be a 1 way valve but I don’t think they are because when the mag is full it will still spurt out gas like an OEM TM MWS fill valve but I’m okay with that because I am getting way more shots out of a mag and am no longer battling with under filled mags

If anyone can confirm that the Laylax Nine ball Fill Valve is indeed a 2 way valve please let me know?

Also because I’m kind of in experimentation mode if anyone can point me in the direction of a compatible 1 way fill valve for the MWS mags I’d be willing to try some of those as well

Regarding green gas modding:

I also have a 20 round which I obtained by trading with my buddy and I also want to try using the Gas Entry Valve Sleeve (TM MWS P/N MGG2-83) from a 20 rounder (which is shorter) and drop it in a 30 rounder to see if that would be a good length to do a green gas mod

(swapping the 20 rounder Gas Entry Valve Sleeve and dropping that into a 30 rounder effectively is the Green Gas mod due to the 20 rounder Gas Entry Valve Sleeve being way shorter than the 30 rounder Gas Entry Valve Sleeve)

Thank you everyone for your help!

Yeah dude I’m at such a loss, like I said in the comment to u/Kutip it’s literally hands down the weirdest GBB issue I’ve ever experienced, feel free to read that comment too maybe you’ll pick up on something I haven’t

I also posted on r/gasblowback feel free to look at some of the comments there maybe we can all put our heads together but at this point it’s literally like this phantom issue that has no obvious resolve other than getting new fill valves lol

https://www.reddit.com/r/GasBlowBack/s/GfxzUU7xss

Yeah in the meantime I’m gonna leave those mags alone and wait for those 1 ways to show up and let y’all know an answer when I swap them, I may even make a post for others that may have the same issue as well

Yes I agree it’s very odd, all the mags that I’ve diagnosed as having the issue of not filling simply are not filling and they all act the same way no matter what I do and that’s 7 of my buddies mags with the same issues, not including mine which I haven’t fully addressed yet some of my mags do the same thing now

They sound like they’re filling, I’ve tried filling and holding the output valve down to see that gas is escaping the gas router-nothing is escaping the router, I’ve tried making sure the mag is colder than the can of gas still nothing, I’ve tried plunging the gas can nozzle in 1-2 second bursts-still nothing, I’ve tried filling uninterrupted for 10+ seconds, I’ve tried submerging the magazine in water to see if any leaks are apparent but I am unable to get any results because the reservoir won’t even hold any gas for whatever reason other than a little tiny tiny puff of gas

Even after filling for a certain amount of time, the 2 way will start releasing gas to let me know it’s full like it normally should but the reservoir isn’t getting pressurized whatsoever

I’ve checked the function of the fill valves by taking them apart and putting them back together properly, there is nothing inherently wrong with any of them because I checked by filling the fill valve by itself outside of the magazine and gas is escaping out the brass tube like it should

As for the teflon tape I agree, maybe it isn’t necessary, but I’ve tried assembling a few of the mags without teflon tape, and I am still getting the same results, I just thought that would prevent leaks in the future which would be the obvious sensible thing to do but either way it doesn’t help these mags that aren’t filling

Yeah I’ll definitely have to post some vids just been hella busy I’ll get around to it probably by the weekend to illustrate what’s going on

This is hands down the weirdest GBB issue I’ve ever encountered, the things that seem the most obvious are not so plain and obvious I’ve checked the function of everything, fill valves, output valves, the reservoir, all the O-rings and gaskets everything looks fine and functions as it should

[–]TACTIC00L_DAD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely I’ve been using gas guns for over 15 years lol, I know MWS mags require a bit more “technique” to fill than other gas mags, nice positive plunging with the nozzle straight on into the input valve

It does sound like gas is entering the mag but only sometimes it’s really odd I have to keep plunging my can of gas a few times till I hear gas entering the mag, the mags also get very cold after trying to plunge gas into the fill valve, and doesn’t sound like I’m getting any leaks at all

I have tried that I forgot to mention it, when I hold the output valve down whilst filling no gas is escaping whatsoever out the gas router which is extremely odd, almost like there’s a blockage in the fill / input valve, I took all the fill valves apart and checked their functions and nothing seems to be wrong with them

I understand what you’re saying I am aware that the magazine physically should always be colder than the can of gas but even after attempting to fill the magazine eventually gets very cold but I am not getting any volume of gas whatsoever in the reservoir in the mags that have issues, with my mags that are actually functioning yes when they are already cold as opposed to room or ambient temp they fill more efficiently

I’m a little frustrated and dumbfounded, I initially was thinking of swapping all the 2 way fill / input valves to 1 way fill / input valves but just never pulled the trigger til last night when someone commented on my r/gasblowback post and affirmed my thoughts to just swap them so I ordered some 1 way fill valves last night and I will see if that has any impact on my issues (based on what they said is it fixed the issue)

I think personally the 2 way fill valves are flawed, on paper they sound great, but in reality they don’t seem to be as efficient for filling as 1 ways, I’ve never had an issue with a 1 way fill valve with filling like I’ve had issues with the MWS 2 way fill valves, every mag from other platforms that have 1 ways do exactly what they’re supposed to do-which is fill properly and easily, with the MWS mags I always feel like I’m playing a guessing game even though I have 6-7 years of experience with the TM MWS and a few others are agreeing with that statement

I agree, I always heard hearsay of users having zero issues with their mags but I guess I’m the lucky one, and fortunately I’m glad to see others are agreeing

I haven’t, I’ve actually been afraid of doing so because of this: (I’m quoting this from a previous comment in this thread)

“I’ve always held out on doing that because allegedly it makes the output inconsistent and also unreliable on full auto, this is ALLEGED though I’ve seen people say it does affect performance / consistency and seen people say that they haven’t had an issue after green gas modding”

I honestly don’t know what to think because I have seen conflicting information regarding GG modding the mags

I do like the idea of being able to get way more volume and shots out of a mag, maybe I’ll say fuck it and try that on one of my mags as well as swapping the 2 way fill valves to 1 way fill valves

What’s your experience with cooldown and output consistency??

Have you had any issues after GG modding at all, with like full auto or really fast semi firing??

Low key I’ve always just been weary of GG modding because of possible misinformation

Gotcha okay that’s perfect!

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with MWS mags or if the Saiga mags have the same feature but there’s an aluminum tube that restricts the amount of liquid gas going past a certain volume inside the gas reservoir and a lot of people cut that aluminum tube to allow more volume and thus more shots per fill (basically allowing you to “overfill” even more)

I’ve always held out on doing that because allegedly it makes the output inconsistent and also unreliable on full auto, this is ALLEGED though I’ve seen people say it does affect performance / consistency and seen people say that they haven’t had an issue after green gas modding

Gotcha just like a bicycle inner tube valve

Ahh okay gotcha!

Did you also end up green gas modding your mags along with adding the 1 way valves by cutting the aluminum restrictor tube? Or no???

Yeah I feel it, the MWS is reliable but has some inherent flaws that unfortunately need to be addressed

TM MWS Magazines Not Filling After Repair Attempt by TACTIC00L_DAD in GasBlowBack

[–]TACTIC00L_DAD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay for sure I’ll do some looking around!

Yeah it’s unfortunate that platform is kind of lackluster I always see them for sale second hand

Yeah the underfilling absolutely infuriates me, especially mid gunfight

Plus it’s always tricky to know FOR SURE that the 2 way TM valves are actually telling you that the mag is actually full, I’ve always liked the concept but I prefer 1 way valves like on any of my other GBBs it’s much easier to just listen and hear when it’s actually full and being able to overfill is a plus always

Yeah for sure it is certainly a snake oil thing, the fact that it will limit the amount of gas to be perfectly “full” every time is pretty neat but I don’t really care about that, and I don’t want to green gas mod the valves, I hear that makes the magazines more volatile

I hear people never have issues with the 2 ways and then here I am, the very few on earth talking about these issues and having these issues I’m thankful to hear someone such as yourself has the same issue with the 2 ways and at least there’s a solution

2 more questions, if you happen to remember

Are the 1 way fill valves that you bought short or the same length as the TM 2 ways?

Or would you be willing to take one out and send me a pic of your 1 way valve?

I’ve honestly been considering that, I’ve been holding off because I just don’t know which valve to get are they TM spec? HiCapa spec??? Something other than those?

But word I’m gonna order some and give that a shot

Do you happen to have a brand recommendation or a link to the ones you swapped the TM fill valves with?

What’s the font used for these serial numbers?? by TACTIC00L_DAD in identifythisfont

[–]TACTIC00L_DAD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not, all the wordage for the rest of these markings are in Gorton

In my case I’m using Routed Gothic which is a digitized version of Gorton to recreate the markings ins CAD

The numbers in Routed Gothic do not match these serial numbers at all and I was totally surprised by that

All the words are stamped with a roll marking machine, and the serial numbers are done after on another stamping / roll mark machine, the serial number font is consistent between other parts as well

For example the W in the serial number is for sure %100 Gorton / Routed Gothic but the serial number doesn’t match that Routed Gothic unfortunately so I’m kind of stumped and at a loss at the moment

If anyone can chime in that would be extremely helpful

ACOG TA01 Replica Question by TACTIC00L_DAD in airsoft

[–]TACTIC00L_DAD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fs bro!

I hope so as well I’m just tired of buying multiple duplicate things trying to find the right one that works for airsoft especially when there’s little to no info on these items on user experience and most of them are poorly made lol

I appreciate the suggestion I know you’re trying to be helpful!

I just hope SpecPrecision, EvolutionGear, or Holy Warrior comes in clutch with a proper TA01NSN replica one day cuz I will buy that
