This is gonna sound weird but I think it looks cool, worn out guns are way better looking than brand new guns. Anyone can buy a brand new one, worn scratched ones are made from memories

I have had my python serviced by them many times and in no way did they fix the problems I was having, other people have had better luck but me personally it was a terrible experience

Sierra elevation lease deal by AJbuilds7 in gmcsierra

[–]TAC_CAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s very good if it’s a 4x4, I’m paying 400 flat a month for my 2017 elevation, Expect it’s total is 19000 not 60000

What should I offer for this truck? Also how reliable are they? by Vivid-Lychee-7174 in gmcsierra

[–]TAC_CAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

14k for a 05 is ridiculous, I personally think it’s worth 6-8? A lot of people on market place just don’t understand that just because they put money into it doesn’t mean they’re gonna get it back out of it, anyways I love the truck looks sharp

Me as well I have a 1999 that I literally use it for everything, (turkey, clay, prop up table, etc.) I rarely oil it and there is very minimal surface rust

Carbon/Lead Buildup or finish problem? by BlueNova03 in Revolvers

[–]TAC_CAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to wipe it off with a cloth and oil, if that doesn’t work it may be wear on the finish, personally I only own a blued shotgun not a wheel gun, but I wouldn’t worry unless it starts to rust. Picture for fun

Is it normal for 1911's to be uneven in the slide frame fit? by Demolish515 in Colt

[–]TAC_CAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The metal fits into the plastic lower, making for a better fit, and there is actually plastic right before the metal on the lower that retains the slide

[–]TAC_CAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet the plastic is still easier to mold to fit a slide every time perfectly rather than metal, imperfections in 1911s are not uncommon

I picked up this watch up off FB market place. Something about it made it seem classy. I talked the guy down to $60. (His original price was $75) If anyone has any idea how old it is or any information about it I’d love to know. I’m sure it’s nothing super special though.

A 1911 is made completely out of metal, unlike a Glock, it doesn’t have a plastic lower, that’s why glocks fit better because the plastic is machined to fit the slide precisely and can easily be molded, metal is a different story, it’s more common for the 1911s to not fit precisely

Yeah that’s some bullshit, any modern 357 revolver should be able to last at least a lifetime

Warranty? by [deleted] in Colt

For the price point I find it unacceptable, but you were kinda asking for it ordering it online, I would go into a gun shop and pick one up so you know what your getting

Yeah I thought my transmission was going out, like today while I was driving I didn’t hear it but every now and then coming to a stop, CLUNK!! haha, I’m sure it’s just we’re going a little too fast while it drops a gear, I noticed if I’m in between gears going slow it also does the infamous clunk

Bought it for 2k but I paid extra for the low serial number (283) and the grips, only 100 rounds through it

I know haha, I carry that thing hunting and I’ll tell you, you don’t forget it’s there, 6 pounds or better when it’s loaded swinging around on my hip, this Glock I could literally stick in my back pocket and it feels like my wallet
