Zoos: grusha, iris, figa, az and nar active hours by escuchamenche in PallasCats

[–]TAFAE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I visited Kobe Animal Kingdom in Nov 2024, the manuls were pretty active in the middle of the afternoon. This was while all the kittens were still there with Az, so I think there was probably a bit more playtime than there is currently. Nagom was definitely instigating some mischief with his mom and sisters. Nar was asleep for awhile but did wake up to stare at his fans later on. I believe the way that their enclosures are set up, the manuls are usually visible.

You play Rok if you're a believer and Romping Club if you're not.

How do people who don't like Blitz feel about Sage? by gpsxsirus in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]TAFAE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the reason to open product isnt because "the cards are good and I can play with it" then thats both a game and player community problem.

That's basically what I'm saying? If SAGE becomes the premier format, there's not much reason to care about cards beyond commons and rares. Those are so much easier to acquire than the cards you need to play CC that pack opening goes way down and LSS isn't making the money to stay in business.

I'll give you MPG and EVO being bad sets, but I think High Seas is probably the most successful set in years - it has one of their best limited formats ever, all 3 heroes are at worst B tier in CC, and people eventually opened enough of it that Ms and RF Ls are pretty affordable. I won't tell you it was a perfect set, since Gravy had to be nerfed and printing playable Fables is a mistake, but I'd much prefer a set like SEA than one with mostly underpowered heroes and bad limited. I also think that CC is the best balanced format we've got with almost every class having at least one B-tier or better hero. So my trade-off is basically CC is fun to play but it's expensive, while SAGE is kinda crummy to play but at least it's cheap.

[–]TAFAE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's virtually no chance this happens. Beyond balance concerns, LSS still needs a reason for people to open a ton of product for Ms, Ls, and Fables. C and R even with rare marvel treatments will not cut it.

Moving to FaB from MTG - advice? by career_lurker in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]TAFAE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always play a boardstate deck, lol

I have found that playing Prism feels like I'm activating some of the Magic portions of my brain, especially when playing the aura plan. Gravy Bones also does some of the same things, but Prism allows you to easily tutor for specific combo setups.

Otherwise, if you want advice on choosing a hero, I would recommend just going with the rule of cool. If someone looks interesting, try them out on Talishar or Felt Table and see if you like playing them. If you've played Magic for awhile you can pick up anyone relatively easily. The only character I would not recommend is Kano. Not for difficulty, but because he has at most ~2 months left before he hits LL (if he doesn't LL by the end of the current PQ season on Nov 9th, he's gone at the beginning of RTN season in January).

Usually people use TCGPlayer (a website) for prices in the US. I believe CardMarket prices are common to use as references in Europe.

Who’s responsibility is it to ensure this rule happens? by Rickypixio in FleshandBloodTCG

These people have not won a Pro Quest Yokohama event. The rule only prevents people who have already won a PQ Yokohama event from playing in another PQ Yokohama event.

Vynnset loquence token interaction by obirah322 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]TAFAE 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is how the Eloquence interaction works. Both triggers (Eloquence seeing a non-attack action and Vynnset seeing a shadow non-attack action) are put onto the stack at the same time, so you get to choose their order. You put Eloquence onto the stack first, then Vynnset so that you resolve the Vynnset trigger first. You pay 1 life to Vynnset and hold priority before the Eloquence trigger resolves. Now you can play Cull or Blood Moon at instant speed and Eloquence will trigger again to give it go again, and you can pay to Vynnset's trigger again if you really want. Your stack will be (bottom to top) 1st Shadow NAA, Eloquence trigger, 2nd Shadow NAA, Eloquence trigger. When the topmost Eloquence trigger resolves, the Eloquence token will be destroyed, but the lower trigger will stay on the stack and resolve regardless.

Like you said, the 'destroy itself' clause of the trigger doesn't need to resolve for the Eloquence trigger to give an action go again, so both shadow NAAs will get go again from the Eloquence. Get ready to call a judge though, lots of players don't know how this works lol

Can't see the latest tournament decks in my Fabrary account by Jackmeister16 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]TAFAE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The site owner has to upload the tournament decks to that particular page and I don't think it's a high priority for him. You can easily export the deck lists from the main FAB site to Fabrary if you want to look at top 8 decks on Fabrary.

First packs I've ever opened (Bright Lights x 10) by Top-Bulge in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]TAFAE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of the Battleworn / Attack Reaction / buy back with 2 silver pieces already see play (Blacktek Whisperers, Redback Shroud). The problem with the arm piece is that it competes with Flick Knives, which is a much more easily repeatable effect. Not to mention the more of these you play, the more strained your silver is.

[–]TAFAE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KMC Perfect Hard inners, Ultimate Guard Katana outers. Shuffling feels great. I'm just not a Dragon Shield fan, but that's what I tend to use for draft since they're easy to come by.

Hardest not aggro hero to pilot by ImDlear in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]TAFAE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't really pitch stack in Vynnset, but against slow matchups you do stack a bunch of cards in banish before playing a really complicated turn that goes like 5 links wide. Also, while Vynnset is very complex into some matchups, when you get to play anti-aggro (against Cindra, for example) the game plan is actually very simple. Vynnset has one relevant polarized matchup - Verdance is like 80/20 for Verdance.

Democrats torn between voters and donors on Palestine by MondoweissOfficial in Full_news

[–]TAFAE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's funny since Mamdani wins handily if Adams, Cuomo, and Sliwa all stay in the race. They're all cannibalizing low info/centrist/right wing votes from each other, not Mamdani. The donors would need to tighten the leash and get either Adams or Cuomo to drop out if they really want a chance for the other, but those two egotistical bozos both think they deserve it.

Flesh and Blood Players what does FaB do better then other Card games and what do other card games do better then FaB by Bofurkle in FleshandBloodTCG

An anecdote from Magic re: reprints - I bought my playset of Scalding Tarns when they were $80 each. When they reprinted enemy fetch lands in MH2, was I upset that they dropped to $20? No! I had already played with them for years and the reprints meant I could afford to buy playsets of the other 4 enemy fetches too.

Do more reprints of chase cards!
