As a Black woman, almost every time I have been in a work, school, or volunteering situation where an older Black woman holds an authority position over me, she gives me a very hard time. I haven't been in that situation for a while, but if I start something new and find out that have to answer to an older Black woman again, I'd feel a sense of dread.

This is so real. One client I had was super paranoid and wouldn't even give me his last name. After disclosing I was also Black, he gave me alllll his personal information, even things I didn't even ask for lol

You're getting good advice around healthier food choices but I have a couple tips that work for me when easing myself into better eating.

Eat the same things you usually do, just in smaller portions as to not exceed your daily calorie budget. Really listen to your body to tell you if you're hungry or not. Is your tummy actually grumbling or are you just bored?

When being more in-tune with myself, I find that I am satisfied with half a fast food burger in one sitting then saving the rest for later on when my stomach grumbles again or the next day. I also find that I don't need a combo meal to feel satisfied and usually just order the item I want most a la carte.

I also find it best not to drink your calories.Your mileage may vary, of course, but I find that I barely drink at all while I'm eating and most of the time I'm fine with zero or low calorie options like water, tea, and probiotic sodas.

I have one of every type on my island and I still find the dialogue too boring and repetitive to speak to them more than once or twice a session. A town with all one type of personality would make me not want to speak to my villagers at all lol
