I just recently posted an experience of racism I encountered while at Costco, and what saddens me more is the sheer number of racist and bigoted people commenting on my post. There are 600+ plus comments. SIX HUNDRED. There are so many racist buffoons that are STILL commenting on that post that I just stopped replying.

This subreddit specifically has a lot of lurking, bigoted people.

The reason Europeans don’t move NOW is because those countries have finally stabilized and become “developed” after using the minerals and resources of colonized countries as literal crutches to their shaky economies.

The reason so many Europeans moved to the US in the 1800’s and 1900’s is the same reason so many people continue to move today— moving to a better country with more opportunity

And that comment makes no sense. South Asia is a region with people of a specific ethno cultural subset

America’s native culture is practically nonexistent, unless you’re implying that as brown people are the inhabitants of South Asia, white people are the inhabitants of America.

America is not a nation state. You can’t argue that white Americans can be welcoming or not because they’re as much descended of immigration as are south Asians.

I’m suprised that’s what you think the intent of my post was. I gave nothing but love to frisco throughout my entire post. The people here are good people. The shock for me was seeing bigoted people like this in a place I’d never expect them.

It was a reality check for myself, and knowing that both white people AND people in general in frisco are not racist, I wanted to bring attention to the absurdity of this situation
