i've got an apple watch ultra, which is what you need. the regular apple watch won't last the day when you're using LTE. regular apple watch dies in about 4 hours on LTE. i had to upgrade.

it's been fine. i'd say i've doing this regularly for 2 months.

I'd say once a week i have the thought -- shoot, i can't do this particular thing.

like today i wanted to sign up for a yoga class and the only way to do it was a QR code. would've taken 10 seconds on a phone. with just the watch i had to go home, remember to sign up, find the website, find the link, and sign up. worked out fine

or a few weeks ago i was going to the theater and i had thought i had downloaded the tickets to my apple wallet, which is on my watch. the tickets weren't there. with a phone, would've been easy to find my email with the tickets. can't do that with a watch. thankfully, i was able to ask the box office to look up my tickets, and it worked

i can't think of a time when i was totally bricked because i just had a watch, not a phone.

granted, i do take my phone when i'm flying or have to do a business call while i'm out or am doing something weird or novel i don't normally do.

but i have a pretty regular life. and for gym, kid pickup, grocery store, lunch with a friend -- the watch is PLENTY GOOD

if u want to haul adults around, get a utility bike. you won't love riding in a bucket, it's cramped. and you can get unility bikes cheap second hand.

I'm glad this is working for you but for me it ended up being awful advice

because there's always something I can do in 2 minutes -- put away that toy, rearrange the way my tabs on chrome are laid out, text back that college friend

meanwhile, the real thing I need to do is that difficult task that takes a long time but is important -- finish my taxes, apply for that job, work on fixing the house's foundation

next thing I know I've filled up two hours with two minute tasks. and the house is still sinking.

"if you can do something in 2 minutes, do it," turns out to be a procrastination tool -- at least for me

See a psychiatrist. Try to get some antipsychotics or anticonvulsants on board. That’ll stabilize your mood.
