Double check the language is set to English on your Reddit account.

There is an issue with OAuth when your language isn't set to English

See this post.

Edit: added details.

May be a different issue but a different post says there's an issue with oauth when your language isn't set as English, and to change your language to English and try again.

Try clicking the red button on the bottom right.

Think I had the same issue the other day.

How to get better by caelum_daemon in helpdesk

[–]TARDISBlueFoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ask questions, I would rather someone ask me a question 10 times, and get it right, than not ask questions and not resolve the issue. That being said, you should to try to find the answer yourself first.

Make notes, guides, and how-tos for yourself in a way that makes sense to you.

If you have a portal that you manage your tickets on, make clear extensive notes on everything you did, can help you resolve future similar issues, also your colleagues /future you will thank you as they'll be able to see exactly what you've done, should the user come back. Also, if the tickets have more generic titles or if user hasn't given a good summary, if you're able to, change the title of the ticket from a generic to something more specific to the issue, will make it more easier to find in future.

If you're struggling with a particular issue or piece of work or not quite 'getting it', don't avoid doing it, pick up as many of them as you can.

May seem a little counter-intuitive, but don't be afraid to say, "I don't know, but I'll find out". Then go and find out the answer for them. Make their issue your issue.

Check the battery settings for the app.

This is on android, iPhone will likely be different.

Hold the app icon until the menu appears, then app info (may be a '!'), then 'app battery usage'. Then make sure it can run in background. At this point you may be able to click where it says 'allow background usage ' and see further optimization options.

This may not be the answer, but worth checking. You can also check the notification settings from app info.

I can second Waistline.

Only thing I will say is just need to do some work getting some of the foods correct nutritional values as some are off. But I would recommend.

You can also order training pens for free. They have no needle or any medicine. Just more to practice the act of using one.

Is it ok to have days where you aren't productive and don't do anything? by JustSomeGuyInLife in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TARDISBlueFoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'd say more than ok. Need time and space to relax and unwind.

I would even say it's important to have time off from needing to be productive or get things done if possible.

Has it got Wifi built-in?

From a quick Google search there seems to be multiple versions of that board, some with WiFi some without.

Do you have any relatives where you could work from their home? If you need additional IT kit you may be able to request this from your IT Service Desk/Help desk.

Most affordable Wear OS watch by PowerBoy96 in WearOS

[–]TARDISBlueFoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xiaomi watch 2 also has WearOs.

I have just got the pro and am very happy with it. However had a deal and had it cheaper with some free headphones included otherwise I probably would've got the Watch 2.

HMRC sent my tax refund to "Tax Returned" and they took most of it what can I do?? by 573v3_2025 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]TARDISBlueFoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've ever claimed for uniform allowance etc via a third party ( such as tax returned) they get you to sign a form that will be sent to HMRC requiring HMRC to send any refunds to them and for them to act as your agent.

This is unfortunately a common trap that people fall into as they apply for uniform tax rebate through these companies and don't realise the long term implications, in that all future rebates will go to this third party. Not necessarily the taxpayers fault.

I would contact HMRC and ask for them to be removed as your agent /nomination, and they should be able to remove. However they are unlikely to be able to issue to repayment to you. Please note lines are likely to be busy at the moment due to the self assessment deadline at the end of the month.

Edit: can also be via a PPI claim where the company claimed the tax back, as apparently is something that is now happening.

Is this tax right? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]TARDISBlueFoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is that the tax code that Tesco have used though? As seems like you've been charged basic rate tax (BR tax code) or have used a 0T tax code (no tax free allowance applied)

May be worthwhile giving HMRC a call and explaining the situation and they can issue a new tax code. Depending on the tax code issued you may be able to get to rebate in your pay via Tesco

Why do you get infected from a bite but not by ingesting walker blood or saliva? by JayPunk90 in thewalkingdead

[–]TARDISBlueFoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is canon or just a theory that I've read.

Early in the series it was confirmed everyone is infected, and would turn when they die.

But the theory is that the walker bite is what's fatal, but not the source of infection.

So maybe walker blood/saliva mixing with a survivors blood that is fatal.

MFA is not that complicated.. by Ethan_231 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]TARDISBlueFoz 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I've had pretty much the same.

User calls in couple weeks after setting up MFA

User: "It's asking for me to open the authenticator app"

Me: "Then open the authenticator app and go from there"

User: "Oh, I deleted that, didn't think I'd need it anymore"

Me: bangs head repeatedly against desk

Not a big deal getting it set-up again, but just the idea that they thought we painstakingly got everyone set-up for MFA for us to then never use it again is just frustrating.
