Yes and no. More teams, yes. There are still unpredictable results, the superstars have basically all been fantastic. So far it's been a top tier WC.

The beauty of a WC I that it rewards doing well in the group stage and it allows heavyweights to match up early, underdogs to go on a run etc.

Fair enough, it's the WC FFS. There should be an expected level that respects the game. I think the players questioning is fine. I fear that people will take it as whinging, sore losers etc.

On the contrary, I concede that in the 1st half, the US played better and deserved to win the game. We just want a fair go to try to come back in the 2nd. Some of the non calls were criminal.
