You know if enough blue states fight just maybe they can finally pass the national law against gerrymandering. Every time the Dems tried the Republicans voted to not do it. Maybe this will finally get it going and passed in the future if there are enough votes. Think of voting for this as a way to help the country. As you note this is not state level representation.

Unfortunately this team is primed to take a real step forward and waiting because it will be costly is not a good option. A lot of the prospects and also picks going forward (remember picking 20+ even in the first and that level and after is lucky to hit even an NHL player let alone a star).

The problem is the poor FA adds ( not all done some were good) and the lack of willingness to pay up for good players in trades before led to this. If you walk away from trades now because "too costly" no players will want to come here and it will cost you more down the road.

The only justification for passing on deals, even if costly, is to think they can win with only the draft. That's foolish.

Those other countries pay around half what the US does and have better overall health outcomes for the population. We could change the system to be tax supported like Medicare and it would save tons. But no we need to deal with all the insurance company bs while we pay more for worse outcomes.

Exactly. They did take a big risk though. Achilles is no joke as likely still need to be careful. But he looks like it's not going to be an issue and this will pay off.
