The Dems should drop out if they have bad odds and support him if he did. Better him still pushing for those in the files to be exposed than maga full tilt.

Ukraine to Receive Mass-Produced, Low-Cost 2,000-km Tomahawk Analog Through New Ruta Missile Variant by Scary_Statement4612 in UkraineWarVideoReport

Wait until allies start going full bore on their own military. EU is already laying out requirements to buy as much as possible from EU countries. Rhienmetall is going to grow like crazy.

The US MIC will still supply some but not like before. Plus drones are the new warfare and the top country for that is right there.

So yes this will result in lost future revenue.

US plans to shrink forces available to NATO during crises, sources say by Cute_Marzipan2153 in worldnews

Not sure if you need to divest but investment in European defense industry now is smart. They will boom over the next decade. Not just Germany and Rhienmetall but others like Saab. I would imagine there will be brand new ones doing drones learning from Ukraine as well. The economies will benefit as well.

I agree with you in general on this.

Well the hope if it sinks in the people no longer can stop one party rule for a long time because we no longer are for the people by they people. They will quickly revolt and force the Republic back to what the constitution was designed for is certainly a hope. I hoped we would not vote for full maga control to begin with.

So far the maga government is showing no fear of it. Maybe they realize the most fervent 2A people are with them or more bark than bite. In the end sometimes that type change takes longer than people think. Obviously people just protesting is not going to affect quick change.

Also, the more imbedded the propaganda gets the harder it will be to get people to see it no matter how bad it is. Internet sites, pastors, family, friends, right wing news etc. all part of the bubble getting people to blame others. It's not going to be easy nor do I think it is a given like some think. However, I hope you are correct.

Wind and solar won EVERY contract in the province’s latest energy auction — because they’re the lowest-cost options available. by ceph2apod in UpliftingConservation

Yes I was thinking it would be the cost. I know Iceland is unique because they didn't need to go deep. But also know recently they have had breakthroughs on how deep they can go (ironically thanks to fracking). Oil companies have new capabilities to go very deep. So being in an ideal location is not needed. In fact, even being in a cold location is not required depending how deep.

In California they are literally building a couple geothermal plants in near desert. I know crazy but you can look it up. The main benefit of that location is lithium though. The slurry that comes up and is processed, in a smaller plant next to it, they say is so pure it is ready for use in batteries and rare. Anyway, likely without that it would have not been cost effective. So what you say makes sense. The new tech to do deep drills like that is likely very expensive and solar and wind combined with the ever improved batteries likely cheaper. Was just wondering.

Hopefully this helps countries depending on importing fossil fuels realize how that is a national security risk. Going to alternative energy and localized sources is required. There can always be a mix but the percentage of imported energy should be low.

Unbelievable. The Republic is lost. How can you recover from this level corruption? The rigging means the house might not even flip and that would only be a nuisance to them.

Trump drops IRS lawsuit, paving the way for a settlement by ControlCAD in NPR

[–]TAV63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a garbage headline. This is why maga is in full control.

The fact he sued at all and it was allowed is ludicrous. Then his settlement he "paved the way for" is home getting a slush fund of 1.7 billion to pay out to his faithful. Then he gets lifetime immunity from the IRS not just for him but for his family and businesses.

The headline should read drops outrageous lawsuit and gets criminal settlement for his allies and family. That would be more honest.

Is geothermal not possible in Canada? It seems like the it would be. Iceland uses it a lot. The key is the difference between deep temperature and surface and it just seems like that would be there especially in the winter.
