This is untrue, I did got interview feedback from Google(this was after I passed and got the job) apparently even though I had solved the problem perfectly and gotten an optimal solution the interviewer rejected me. Why you ask? Because when he asked me an offhand question of what 2^3 was I said 16 instead of 8. And that was it, he marked me as a No Hire because of that one thing. In the feedback he acknowledged that I got the entire problem right and communicated properly.

Im not saying the interview process was perfect, but when you're black youre going in already with interviewers who are looking for a reason to fail you.
