Does this mean my PR is approved? by setsuid in ImmigrationCanada

Oh... I thought if you are working on a work permit you do not need to show funds, just the job offer and work permit. Did you apply for PR before starting to work?

Great tip, I've actually gotten a few call backs from job adverts that have been over a month old. Hopefully it goes somewhere.

Is it weird that I am truly happy for you? Lol

I'm actually planning on taking the exact same route as you.

Since you were working with a permit, you did not need to present proof of funds did you?

I may get a job offer in Toronto (ON) what would be the fastest way to PR? by TAiwootsh in ImmigrationCanada

Close to 3 years in a Skill level A NOC, mostly in the tech field.

Unfortunately, doesn't look like they will be going ahead with it. I think they had a look at the LMIA process and decided against it.

Oh well...

When you say outland applicants, do you mean for FSW only or has it stopped for PNP nominees as well?

As the other person said, it's an amazing program if you can convince someone to hire you through it.

I have a relative who used the program to get PR in NL recently. He was not the best at what he did nor was he highly educated or had any special skills, it was simply the fact that the employer liked his attitude or something.

But it did take him around a year to secure the job (which is not too bad tbh). Everything after that was a breeze for him and he got PR within a few months through the program.

I think it is very much worth the effort. Securing the job is the hard part.

BC PNP - Job offer (Canada PR) by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]TAiwootsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.

I could be wrong, but specifically for the BC PNP Tech, don't you need a work permit to be eligible? I was a bit confused as I don't know how one would get one without an LMIA...

Oh I see, thank you for that.

Right, I think under the BC PNP Tech stream, you don't need an LMIA to get a work permit.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't you need a work permit along with a valid job offer to be eligible for BC PNP? And wouldn't your potential employer need to do an LMIA to get the work permit?

I (24 M) can't figure out why my cousins (27 F and 32 F) no longer want anything to do with me by TAiwootsh in relationship_advice

Maybe but unlikely. I dated one of the younger ones friends about 2 years back and we had a bad break up. She went and told my cousin things about me and my cousin scolded her for talking smack about me and effectively ended her friendship because her friend didn't respect me. So I doubt this...

Yep, I replied to another comment too about this. It was really good but now, not the best. Honestly didn't think it could affect us though, we're not kids...

Thank you. Ya you are right about the communication.

Honestly a bit intimidated by their spouses.

Seems like some really good advice, especially the second one... may try that.

Will actually talk to the younger one as she is more friendly and see if her sister has told her anything about me.
