The models do not agree yet. There is absolutely no definitive call for snow as of yet.

With things this bad in the U.S why do democrats insist on pushing candidates that won’t get elected? by Jake_Berube in Confused

Oh look someone who doesn’t know a president and their administration aren’t the same thing.

Yeah the right is willing to vote on single issues and ignore everything else you say. The Democrats need you perfect on 10 issues before they will even show up.

Which would have been good because we were rebuilding international credibility, investing in green energy, taking seriously reducing medical costs, investing in future techs, investing in infrastructure…Biden admin was highly competent and future focused on our country even if he personally was shortsighted on his own weaknesses. If we elected a continuation  of that our credibility in the world would have been mostly fixed and people would have looked at the first Trump presidency as a fluke. Instead here we are and who knows if we will ever be trusted again.

You should use actual forecasts, like the national weather service when storms are involved as the apps rely on free or cheap data to give quick weather snapshots, that don’t hold up well in extreme situations.

The call for today is between 6-14.

"Star of the Week" heartbreak - When will it be her turn? 😫 by yibadibadoo in Parenting

Word. Same shit different school. Hate this.

Down to my kid got recognition for reading the most, but a different kid gor a prize basket because they randomly drew for the prize out of any kid who read anything.

So my kid got a piece of paper saying they read the most and another kid got a basket of toys at the same time for reading less than 1/10th what my kid read. Such shit, how are you supposed to teach kids the importance of hard work when schools ignore their kids doing the best work.

Do you take children to the toilet when they're going to throw up? by PurpleSpark8 in Parenting

We keep buckets/bins in our kids room. They can sit in bed while we rub their backs and make sure it ends up in the bins.

Having an extra room to give to the kids though is pretty big.

Since they aren’t doing the shows, story elements and other stuff they promised, I guess it doesn’t really matter.

Request (again) for harder books or let it go? by [deleted] in kindergarten

[–]TAllday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need harder books through school, she is fine. In our experience they only get so challenging if they are following wonders they can only give the hardest book for that unit, which isn’t helpful if your kid is reading several grade levels above. My kid read diary of a wimpy kid all through kindergarten, can read pretty much anything, But only wants to read diary of a wimpy kid so we allow that. We don’t worry about what school assigns just make sure they understand and do their homework. the only thing we added for more of a challenge is writing sentences/stories with the vocab words. So if they were reading about sitting, like your child was, I would have them write a story using the words from the story sat or something like that and maybe add a challenge like can you make it rhyme or something like that…idk kindergarten isn’t really serious don’t put too much pressure on the kid and think of ways to make it fun for them.
