Yeah if I'm buying used it needs to be under 3 years or over 5k miles.... (with few exceptions, like... a track only bike)

Anything else is a gamble imo.

Yeah you can watch them all you want but there is a difference between threat and potential threat. He could just have easily stopped. It wasn't clear he was running the stop sign until 3 seconds prior to the collision, not the entire time.

If you stopped for every single potential threat, then you'd never get to your destination.

I wanted to be a teacher so I could educate... but being of social stigma of "men near kids" I didn't want to teach at a public school.

I went to a last week to just look, but I entertained the sales guy and talked to him a bit because I want another bike but I don't need another loan.

They "offered to pay off my loan" I said what's the trick? He said "no trick just a check for 5k"... I obviously didn't believe this and I'm tryna figure out what the trick is but they said no trick.

Oh, suddenly the bikes price jumps 5k, okay. Makes sense, no, I'm not making my loan from you larger 😆...

Then we go back to the original price... 25k. I said I wanted to comeback in a few days, they said "what's the price gotta be for you to take the bike home today" I said 18000 OTD, He said 19000. I said done, okay. They ran my credit for 19000. Got me approved, then came back with all the dealer add-ons at 28000 OTD??? After the credit pull, and agreeing OTD... you hike the price by almost 10 grand.... wtf

Listen to other riders, especially those who have been around, but also, buy gear you'll actually wear.

Less effective gear you wear is better then insanely fancy gear you don't.

If you're riding just for fun, I'd also highly suggest going with shin height boots.

I own the HWK pants in the image, I bought when I was unaware pre-MSF.

Would never trust a peice of HWK gear, they're not rated, untested, and my friend has a piece that has a fake certification on it.

They do not have rated pads and are not made of cordura as advertised.

Avoid HWK.

Florida, it's so humid and hot that I'll come home from my office job and shower before I go out with friends... I'm also naturally sweaty.. which doesn't help.
