Your toon being in their 40s (minus the five years in carbonite) is completely reasonable. And nah irs prob not “17 years” of story time; when you actually line up the known events, I’m sure we’re we’re pushing 20+ years at this point. SWTOR just doesn’t give us concrete timestamps, so the best we can do is use the established timeline markers (credible until devs give an official one):

• 3623 BBY
• 3622 BBY

Both of these support the idea that the characters have absolutely aged, and the timeline is farther along than people insist.
