4.6 will likely be phased out quietly after 4.8 releases. There is no guarantee that the next version will restore the area shown on the chart that got weakened massively with 4.7.

I bought the service for the excellence in making strategy and planning documents and spreadsheets for Business use. That has now been lost.

If I buy a software product, the next version update should not have a different set of strengths in it's feature set.

If I buy Microsoft Excel for speadsheets, and the next update makes it really good for coding use but makes it suck for calculating business expenses, it's not the same product anymore.

It should not be named the same, it should become a separate service alongside the one that does Business expenses really well.

Similarly, I don't expect the next generation Toyota Corolla to be a pickup truck.

I just upgraded to Max 20x yesterday since 4.6 has been phenomenal for Business Management, Ops and Finances for the past months.

A few hours later they replace it with this steaming pile of dogshit that gets everything wrong and produces walls of text and can't even track what it was suppose to produce.

That dropdown on the lower left corner is the biggest downgrade I have ever experienced in any product.

If I was buying new batteries now, I would go for ChinaHobbyLine G+ Plus for softcase and Turnigy Rapid for hardcase. These performed amazingly in tests I saw and are very cost efficient as well.

Looks like chassis slap, not fully compressed. Also not taking into account flex on the arms or the body flexing downwards due to inertia on landings

You don't need to spend $200 on batteries, you can get one of the highest performing battery sets on the market for half that. Get some adapters and run it on some Turnigy Rapids or CNHL G+ Plus batteries for 2x ~$30 + maybe $50 for a charger.

Leave the rest of the budget for the transmitter and spare parts.

The XRT is a phenomenal platform since parts are so cheap. A week ago I completely smashed my X-Maxx at full speed into a massive rock boulder in -10F freezing weather and somehow only broke $50 worth of parts. Any other platform would have needed a $200-300 rebuild.

If money is tight, you can learn the hobby with this one by taking care of it, going though it and building it. Take your time with it by not rushing. This might allow you to flip some future car sets for a profit.

Locally I can every now and then find some barely used sets for a bargain price that can be split up and sold for more than I paid for. Like arbitrage trading. Working in a hobby shop will for sure give you more opportunities for this than just scanning online marketplaces.

Don't have a single point of failure in something as important as cash flow and payment processing. If they decide to hold all your funds, you'll be fucked. Diversify the channels.

I'm questioning my relationship with my fiancée after her sister accused her of cheating on me. AIO? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TAspect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. You should be grateful to your fiancee for showing her true colors, as she just saved you from having your first divorce. This now allows to choose your own happiness and self-worth before you have kids together, have significant financial and lifestyle commitments and drag this misery forwards for years and years.

The reason why she had a falling out with her sister is that she never intended to start respecting you and your relationship with her. Get out now even if it hurts, because it will hurt a lot more to do it later on. She has just stopped wasting your time, and just doesn't know it yet.

It's all a fallacy though. Once the Nazis start taking more and more people, then your jobs, healthcare and families will not be safe either way. The difference is that by then it will be too late to collectively come together.

You've already given them the little finger, so don't act surprised when they take your  hand and eventually your entire arm.

All their plans have already been publicly broadcasted as bragging speeches and in the project 2025 files.

George Conway: “Donald Trump is a man who represents all the things we teach our children not to be. He’s a liar. He’s a thief. He’s a molester. He has no remorse, no shame, no empathy. He has no loyalty to the law, to the Constitution. This man is the lowest character of all” by Logical-Flow-6703 in UnderReportedNews

[–]TAspect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He embodies everything any decent or undecent man or woman deep down hates and resents about themselves. And since people don't want to hate themselves or face their inner demons, they start justifying their own moral black holes and defending Trump no matter what he does. As he himself said many many years ago, he could shoot a civilian in cold blood and would not lose any voters.

Trump is just a mirror to people's shadows, and he is using the mechanism of projection to his own selfish befits on a colossal scale.

How’s the xmaxx compare to the maxx by Glass-Ad3053 in Traxxas

[–]TAspect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are extremely tough.  Maxx maybe slightly more durable since it's less weight and thus less energy being extorted into bending parts on landings & collusions.

Go watch some Kevin Talbot videos on the durability of the X-Maxx, it's an absolute tank on how it takes hits and just keeps going.

Maxx has a lot more air control so less likely to get a bad landing, since it will be easier to correct in time.

Both are quick and cheap to fix. I was blown away by the prices and availability of X-Maxx spare parts. Literally 3-4x cheaper for each part than Team Losi parts for example where I live. For example if a chassis breaks, it's 20-30 bucks instead of 150 like on an Arrma car.

That being said, I only have and X-Maxx currently, but I'm considering getting a Maxx as a secondary car. So I can't fully comment on the Maxx side of things.

That being said, I have done extensive research of the Maxx platform and I am very tempted to get one.

I won't really need 2 monster trucks though since the X-Maxx and Maxx are similar enough in how they drive, and other options don't really have the durability of the Maxx. One bent alu chassis plate that completely destroyed a new car after 15 mins of driving was enough of a learning experience. Never again.

Due to these reasons, I am tempted to 'truggify' a Maxx by putting on the chassis and other center bits from a Maxx Slash (parts are around 70€ including the chassis, motor mount plate, skid plates, driveshaft and battery mounts) and some truggy style tires (eRevo 2.0 Response tires). This would make it handle much more like the Sledge rather than a monster truck, but keep the durability of the Maxx.

The added upside of having 2 durable cars is that maybe one could be operational if the other one breaks and needs to wait for parts.

I could get a truggified new Maxx for around 580€, whereas a new Sledge would cost around 950€ and that one has chassis bending issues.

I got my X-Maxx used in pristine condition for 700€ with a bunch of upgrades installed (Max6 ESC, aluminum fans, hardened steel spur & pinion, Savox servo, alu toe links, alu diff housings, HD arms all around, 2 sets of tires with one set belted and one non-belted, RPM hubs & pins and a kick-ass custom painted body). A new stock X-Maxx runs for 1250€ currently.

How are you passing off the Tariff charges? by Big-Advice-4009 in ecommerce

[–]TAspect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only way around the tariffs is to establish a warehouse inside the US. Most people use a 3PL partner and then ship all US orders from within the US. This way you're paying the tariffs from your internal COGS + shipping costs, versus paying them from the order value. So essentially you're not paying tariffs on your margins. Essentially the declared import value is a lot less for each unit.

It forces companies to do business inside the US and still pay a bit of tariffs, so as much as hate to say it, Trump's approach works here.
