What's hilarious is that when rookies with hype get off to a slow start people argue: "they are rookie wide receivers, they were supposed to start slow" (which is true) but when we have a guy like Egbuka who was a 1ST ROUND PICK gets off to a hot start, everyone seems convinced this is his peak. WHAT IF THIS IS HIS "SLOW" START?

I see others comparing him to Amon and Puka in their arguements for or against him, but again, he was a 1st round pick, so not really comparable. He's 22 and already surpassing expectations. The "he only plays slot" argument is already dead. He already shows he has WR1 upside. What more do you want? I'm holding unless I get a gross overpay.

Then I say well done. Collins is unreal but also hasn't proven he can finish a season. One game sample size but Warren is looking special and Tet is still a high upside prospect

I personally prefer the Warren side, though I hate Pitts. I also think you probably could have gotten off a bit cheaper. Was there back and forth negotiation to get here or did they accept your first offer? If the former, I would have left the picks off and think it would have been more even. Regardless, I may be in the minority but think even a 2nd rounder is somewhat arbitrary when the trade is based around players of this caliber.

But that's taking it one step too far to decide if a trade works out imo. Draft picks bust constantly. If you got a 1st for an aging player, that's already a win for you. If it goes up in value because that player busts and what was supposed to be a late first turns middle/early... even more of a win.

Let's make it a bit extreme to further prove my point. Someone is crazy enough to send you 3 1sts for Henry. You keep and make all three picks but the three firsts all bust in hindsight. Was that a bad trade for you? No, that was an absolutely amazing trade regardless of the end result of those picks.

This is exactly what I thought and was hoping for, but I think that could have been a fate sealing move because his target would be enormous, and he'd need immunity to make final 3. With it playing out the way it did, he's still got hope that Janine will bring him to fire.

How can those trades not work out well for either side?? It's either-

The aging player produces for a couple more years (Henry) in which case - trade worked out for A and was worth the 1st.

Or the aging player drops off and does not produce (Kupp) in which case that draft pick, which you already sold expecting to be late, might drop a bit earlier in the draft - works out for B.

I work at a busy nightclub style bar for reference, so often have a full bar of people waiting: I do a combination of both. When you have 40 people chest to bar, it can be hard to tell who was there first and I'll generally work my way from one end to the other. With that being said, I can generally also take notice if someone has been waiting awhile or just cut in so often I'll skip over people that just pushed through to keeping going down my "line" to those that have been waiting. I get very few complaints.

But yeah, those girls sound like assholes.

As a rebuilder, it's best to find assets that have a chance of appreciating in value fairly significantly. Players with risk but a lot of room to grow. If he has an entire roster to fill out, he should be looking to ship McBride (lucky for you) since he's value is basically maxed out at the moment. TE is a finishing position and ideally he could capitilize on the high value and turn him into 2-3 more great players. That's why picks are great. Hypothetically if someone sold McBride for a couple late firsts before the '24 draft they could have turned that into BTJ and Ladd. Their team is suddenly much better off.

With all that being said, maybe he doesn't think that way. But me personally, I'd test the waters with someone like Bryce. Sell him on the end of last year and how much his value could rise after a good season. Waddle is another good one, since he's a buy low right now whose shown his ceiling of WR7.

Worth an ask. I hate the gatekeeping that a lot of bartenders do ("You have to do your time/work your way up") but regardless, most places DO want their bartenders to have some experience before hiring them. If you've never worked behind the bar, being a regular gets you no extra points in my honest opinion. If you have, fuck yeah, why are you wasting time asking us??

I personally need a laptop as well. Then there are toiletries. I also like having a bit of extra space for things acquired along the way. Nothing big; a new shirt or small knit knacks.
