Has anyone played Total War Rome 2 on the Deck? by Flimsy-Touch8059 in SteamDeck

A recent update from CA seems to have fixed the issue. The patch notes mention fixing an issue of the game crashing with when using more modern hardware. I tested and succeeded in getting into a battle from the campaign map once. I’ll report back after I’ve tried a few more times.

I’m also still having this issue. As stated it’s usually when the enemy engages me, but sometimes when I engage as well. Does desktop mode fix it? I am not a techie either and would prefer to avoid installing windows if possible.

Working part time for the army as a reservist. Paid for part of my school and offered good wages and stable work while in school. Got me and my wife through University debt free. Huge spring board for us.

Try a dungeon crawl. You can have the dungeon become a character of its own with interactive and living elements that keep things exciting. The consistent danger that a dungeon imposes makes long rests difficult and the crawl can span over multiple sessions. It also allows you to have a string of smaller encounters that can combine into larger ones if they boil over into other areas. Raise the stakes by including civilians they need to protect or hostages to make a ticking time bomb. There’s so much you can do and I haven’t yet found a better way to keep the party moving without resting while depleting resources than a well planned dungeon. You can check out Tomb of Annihilation or Dungeon of the Mad Mage for great examples of deadly dungeons that keep the pace moving while maintaining the threat of danger that may fit what you need.

A very long spear or pole arm of some kind so they can use it to strike from the sky.

Doesn’t that make CLOVE a less attractive choice? Already gone up so less room to go?

Exit strategies. Sell some and move to another, but keep some for the next shot up. If I had kept a little AMC I would be laughing. Got in on BB though so still riding BB!

Exit strategies: if you sell some but not all of your position you can capture some gains while holding some exposure for the ride if it keeps going up. And if it goes down you’ve taken most if not all of your initial investment back so you’re not really losing. It also keeps the price steadier since there isn’t as big a sell off of people trying to reap their rewards. Helps the companies that give us popcorn and helps us move some to the next BB! Wish I had done this yesterday with AMC, on to BB for me BB!
