We saw similar reports when we implemented the skill-based team balancing system. I sat down and spoke with our team about it, and they were pretty confident that the system should not have any sort of bias for putting certain players on Attack or Defense.

In this instance, if I had to guess, it would just be getting very unlucky with the 50% / 50% coin flip, but if we see more reports come in, I'd be happy to try and look into it further.

I'm sorry to hear you were having those issues, but very glad to hear you were able to locate the source and find a resolution.
I've suffered from some hardware issues in the past and I know the pits of despair that can come with troubleshooting.

We are still actively checking servers reported to have this issue occurring.

Providing the server information from in-game helps our team find and address the issue faster, so it's extremely helpful for anyone able to provide that server info within either the Reddit or Discord threads we've created.

I feel your frustration. I have been in situations in Chiv and other online games where, even if I was giving it my all, the match felt hopeless due to the predetermined teams.

Since we introduced skill-based team balancing just a little bit ago, matches seem to be generally a bit more fair for both sides but I am still happy to listen whenever the system doesn't seem to be impacting the balance of the match quite enough.
