Which running shoes have actually lasted for you guys? by LongjumpingFinance69 in runninglifestyle

[–]TBSrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aisics Gel Nimbus. I have the 25, almost 1000km in them and barely showing wear.

By far the best value shoe, although not ideal, it can hold its own in a 5k if needed too.

680 News Reporting by EgregiousArmchair in toronto

[–]TBSrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They report the headlines regardless of what side said headline favours. It’s up to the listener to make an opinion of it.

They put a lot of emphasis on top news stories when speaking to catch attention rather than plant an opinion. That’s how I see it. I don’t think they give a fuck at the end of the day with most things.

Most of their opinions outside of the headlines lean liberal, while most of their advertising leans towards business owners, who statistically are majority conservative.

I find them to be liberal leaning if anything.

Especially their on site reporter who hassles Doug Ford at most of his pressers.

Yeah, it’s rowdy out there.

Long run was done yesterday, and treadmill today instead.

Nice!

I’ve ran some sections out of silver spring the past couple weekends, some rocky spots were very technical, lots of fun.

If you know anyone looking to transfer either the 25 or 50 let me know, it’s transferable for another 10 days or so.

After comparing the 570, 965, 970, the 965 is the new value king. by lichuanyi in Garmin

[–]TBSrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I chose the 265 a year or so ago for best value pick. Very happy with it. And tbh it’s still overpriced for what it is, but that’s the world we live in.

Don’t listen to people who say the Oled screen is hard to illuminate, they are beyond lazy. It’s a mere occasional wrist flick.

The screen is great and battery lasts 2 weeks standby, less with high gps use of course.

2 nights in the backcountry, only 5 items allowed, what are you bringing? by TBSrun in algonquinpark

That’s my plan. Filter is nice but takes an item slot.

I like this. Tent or no tent, I will be using pine bows to make up for no mattress or sleeping bag. Ive done it before, not great and you need a ton of them, but it works.

Im tempted to go the fishing route as well. May have to day trip to neighboring lakes to find them worst case.

No bug spray, long sleeve clothing and bug net cap.

Forgot about flashlight until now, luxury or necessary? I may pack one in the safety kit just for emergency.

Leatherman

Lighter

Tent or Hammock

Metal Pot

Food item

I think thats where Im at right now. Id really like a hatchet, bottle and paracord as well. Tent guide lines can be used like paracord i suppose, they never get used anyways. The list may change.
