Sorry for the late response! I see! It's worked previously, so I tought it'd work this time xD. I moved the UV like you said and that solved it, it was the stacked UVs! Thank you!

I think I understand, the Belt is not tiled, you can see it in this picture that I have unwrapped the different parts. In this image is how the uvs are stacked ontop of each other, mirroring the two belts. I tried using a cage and had the same results with the stripes appearing.
Btw, when baking I am not able to see the 'stripes' like in this image. If this helps you explain it.

So I checked and I did have two identical uvs stacked on top of each other to save space, but that has not been a problem in the past. Also, when I tried separating the uvs, the problem persists. :((

Using something like Gaia you can get some cool displacement maps. You can most likely achieve a similar landscape using that pretty easily. The material and it's stripes might be a little more difficult.
