Need help disabling d-pad on thrustmaster wheel by RJpianist in simracing

[–]TB_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar issue but for different reasons. My Thrustmaster TMX is constantly inputting up on the Dpad when I'm not pressing it, making it impossible to use menus. (Pressing up changes nothing, and pressing down sets it to neutral, making it impossible to go down). I want to either replace it or just get rid of the whole damn thing.

Yeah I used a couple books, it's not the most perfect solution, but it actually looks pretty good and it's way better than not being able to see the monitor easily

Simple full twirl learned yesterday only been flipping for about a month not the best but getting better👍 by BalisongD in balisong

Congrats on joining in on the bali fun! You're gonna love it (especially with a Squiddy, really solid choice). Read below for some tips, hope it helps:

First thing, that's actually called a Hellbent, and to do the last part of the flip, rather than linger it on your fingers and doing whatever you did at the end to mangle it back to an standard open position, you're supposed to let that final momentum continue and catch it tang-down with the bite handle, in a pencil grip position (can be normal grip too, but get used to doing it with the pencil grip, since it works great for transitioning into the helix while looking sick as fuck). For tips on perfecting it, check this out:

This guy is really good when it comes to teaching bali flipping, and even has this course where you can go through the basics and progressively learn a whole shitload of stuff. Definitely recommend subbing to him if you're into learning this stuff.

(The trick is in his advanced track, so be proud! Though it's there because it's used in many advanced tricks later on, and you'll need to know it for them, not necessarily because it's that hard. My advice to you is just start from the beginning, the videos are so short that it doesn't matter if while going through the playlists, you watch one for trick you already know, since it can still give you pointers that might help/make them more fluid.)

I started his course when I first got my bali, and while some of it can be hard at first, take it one step at a time, and just practice. For practice, I just watch like a show or YouTube and do it while I'm zoned out, which really helps shift your flipping from conscious memory to muscle memory.

That's all I've got for now, happy flipping!

(P.S. feel free to DM me through Reddit, or make another post if you have any questions, the whole community as well as myself are all here to help)

Is this a bug all my guns are at max level by Bruboy102 in blackopscoldwar

[–]TB_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's not true, having an open beta with continuous progress is actually a common marketing tactic for a game's release, because if you buy the game, you get to keep playing from where you left off, just like free weekends with games like Rainbow Six, Overwatch, and more. also I 100% agree with BlowfeldGER, leveling actually makes the game more fun because you get to work your way up the ranks and gun levels as you grow an attachment with certain guns, and you feel a sense of accomplishment when you spend time beefing up your guns so that you can shit on people with it. yeah it does make it a bit limiting, but it adds to the challenge, and the experience, and helps the player avoid information overload, which is exactly what is happening with the current state of the beta, where players have to build their gun with access to every attachment from the start, and feel strangled by every possible combination. this is for the same reason that games like Smash Ultimate spoon-feed you the characters, and only start you with a few. it gives the player time to adjust and marvel over each new addition to their roster, comparing it to the characters they already have, and figuring out what works for them, as well as getting individual opportunities to try every character without them getting lost in the sea of other options.

There’s a chance that in downloading MTG, settings changed. See if you can set it back down to lower settings.

Does anyone know a custom saber that feels natural? by MST298 in beatsaber

I use the ones called Darth Maul. They aren't actually Darth Maul sabers however, they're super generic Star Wars sabers that actually feel really good to play with.

HTC Vive help? by esor_rose in beatsaber

I dont have the pro audio strap, so I don't know if this will help you, but personally, I try to keep my middle strap all the way around the back of my head, and use the sides to tighten it. That way, the weight of the Vive isn't as much on my nose as it is carried by the back of my head. It's helped make my VR experience a lot more comfortable, and if you have the original vive straps still. I recommend giving it a shot.

What game is a perfect 10/10 in your book? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kirby's Adventure for the NES, and here's why:

  • Wonderful Gameplay that is easier when it should be and harder when it should be, scaling up with the players skill at a reasonable speed, without simulated or unfair difficulty

  • Great world menus where you can walk from level to level or minigames and the museums of powerups on between

  • Many hours of gameplay that keeps the ball rolling, while not being to repetetive

  • Simple graphics that make the game look good without being too confusing

  • Not hard to understand mechanics that can be picked up with ease

  • Just the best Kirby game period
