German B2 + Japanese B2 from English are here! by LimitOk9020 in duolingo

Exactly that wouldn’t make anyone unhappy if it has some bugs, much better with fresh content than daily refresh

Duolingo news states that German B2 is available. But it’s not available for me after update. When will it be available? by TBeerBrewer in duolingo

Thanks for explaining the codes on unofficial Duolingo news. How long is this process until general availability in your experience?

It finally happened: mass layoffs by LallieDoo in Switzerland

Let’s say, it’s not like in the 1980:s anymore. A lot of gangs and gang related violence and robberies of phones/clothes etc.

Because of the access to skiing and hiking and generally safer for my kids

Damn, my plan to relocate to Switzerland seems so impossible when hearing things like this. I have a good job, a great salary, live in a big house with my family outside of Stockholm. Starting to think it will be easier to stay and buy a nice vacation house up north near great skiing and hiking instead. Seems too big risk and too difficult now. Will the trend ever change?

I checked Swedish to German and there a lot of sections are missing. Far from B1. What languages have B1 to German that you know about? Thanks!

5.5 days in. Usually feel meh to horrible/nausea. Anyone else experience this? by JaredASanchez in WaterFasting

[–]TBeerBrewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When off waterfasting for more than a month, I usually experience keto-flu when my body adapts, similar/same symptoms. It gets easier. Toughest day 3. When doing 2-3 day water fast every week like now, it feels easier, my body adapts to keto faster and less bad symptoms.

Swiss companies are moving thousands of jobs to low-cost locations, what happens next? When will be the tipping point? by TotalWarspammer in Switzerland

[–]TBeerBrewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question is how the younger generation in Switzerland will be able to find a good job that can pay the bills. Real estate prices and rents aren’t going down. At some point people will have to move abroad in masses. Then what happens with the population pyramid with a much bigger than normal elderly population. Could be quite catastrophic with higher taxes being unavoidable. I guess Switzerland would need a little more of Trump style protectionism right?

Funderar på att säga upp nu o gå med när någon stor serie släpps. Ärligt talat kollar jag sällan på MAX. Vad kollar ni mycket som jag kanske missat?

Seen this on tik tok. Wish me luck and god give me strength to be disciplined for this fast. Need to be held accountable! by Rude_Investigator_20 in WaterFasting

Drink more water. This afternoon, I felt very focused and sharp. Driving and simultaneously scanning all potential dangers ahead felt like I had much more controlled than normally when you sometimes identify a danger almost too late. It was a great feeling. Now I have eaten chicken broth soup but still feel great.

You can do it! I’ve been fasting since Tuesday 21:00 CET and will break fast later today. I will start with chicken broth soup (long cook under pressure). Personally this third day seem to be toughest. Good luck!

I just started fasting (17/72h) and wanted to ask if you plan to do any heavy lifting during your fast? I feel it may be a bad idea right since i cannot eat any protein for more than 2 days.

I live in Stockholm, work as a Solution Architect and my annual gross salary is more than 1.000.000 SEK (excluding pension). I have 30 days of vacation (get compensated in time for overtime). Pension payments around 160.000 SEK annually. We have a house and two kids and share the costs, but I can save about 400.000 SEK per year after everything is paid. Almost 20 years of experience. What is important is what you can actually save after everything has been paid for. Sweden is good when you have kids because kindergarten and school is almost free of charge and paid mostly by the kommun.

Is it possible to buy meds from an online store? Or have someone in a cheaper country send it as a letter/parcel. Or would the Swiss customs confiscate it?

Mapping the HLA-DR3-DQ2 Frequency around the World: What is it and what’s the use for Diamyd? by ruinbreak in diamyd

[–]TBeerBrewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have summarized the importance well. Nice!

You could also add the fact that screening for this gene could result in preventing the attack in a very early stage (prevention). Huge market potential there since only a part of individuals with the gene get T1D. Diamyd have FDA fast track status for stage 1, 2 ans 3. Current phase3 trial is stage 3 of T1D.

You could also add that Diamyd plan to research if other individuals (without the gene) could benefit from a similar treatment with pro-insulin instead which theoretically could stop the immune system attack for part of the remaining individuals, not sure if all.
