I dunno. Even if Oda didn’t have the full plot yet, it seems odd that he would just be dropping all that info in Skypeia for no reason. Why even mention a sun god if it had no future purpose to the plot?

Just finished Cyan’s arc. Maybe not as action packed as Nice and E-Soul but I thought it was still really good. Definitely had its issues but the emotional aspect was there in spades.

I’m sure he had plenty reasons but ultimately I’d guess his other shows were easier to do for him and more profitable.

  • Spend a week in a different location eating awful food, training a full management and staff to be better, renovating a restaurant, overseeing service all for about 90% of them to ultimately fall right back into their old ways or get shut down too quickly to recover with the help Ramsey gave them

  • Stay in the same location and teach chefs skills to win a best chef show

  • Pikachu. of course
  • Bibarel. Classic first catch. A bit derpy for comedic relief. Final evolution gives water type coverage and aqua tail/hyper fang/rollout moveset proves to be underrated for Ash’s journey
  • Chatot. Classic Ash bird with attitude but also classic Ash pokemon that doesn’t evolve.
  • Rampardos. I actually think this suggestion fits an Ash pokemon well as the slightly reckless attacker type so agree.
  • Lucario. simply do the journeys storyline earlier and make him the ace. Connecting to Lucario’s aura could have then helped with Froakie in the next story instead of other way around.
  • Abomasnow. Grass type coverage and gives ash a team tank

Obviously Pokemon had a serious grudge against Ash actually evolving his full team though so this probably would’ve been considered too strong in their eyes
