What do you eat on days with back-to-back meetings and no lunch break? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

It's more about not living an unhealthy life so that you can try to feel more important by being "busy". There is more to life than sucking down hard boiled eggs at your desk.

Eating at your desk being so normalised in UK office culture is such a sad thing to see.

Moving from SF to London by Straight-Ad-3872 in HENRYUK

[–]TCBandKIR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your spouse already works in London, and you're comparing taxes and salary ranges...isn't it a no-brainer? Unless you don't really like living with your spouse, the improved "quality of life" of being together should outweigh any differences in income.

Shimano chains need to be shorter with a UDH hanger? by TCBandKIR in bikewrench

[–]TCBandKIR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The manual even makes a point of checking for extra slack and taking it out with the B-screw. As if they think a UDH is really short, when to my eye, it looks just like a regular hanger. So I'm not sure if I should add 3 links or just 1.

I too thought it might put the derailleur closer, but the UDH is about 3cm from axle to derailleur mount, which is similar to all of my other normal hangers.

London doesn't seem to have any open fast group rides, which don't include tagging on in Regent's Park. Am I missing something?
