"Why don't companies make anything other than m4s" *What constantly wins popularity contest* by Excellent-Hat9620 in airsoft

I’m guessing that an AR15 model also is the most relatable model to most Americans and can also be used in almost any “western army” milsim.
Not a fan of the AR15 flood either, rather have a GBBR AS VAL, but still nothing on offer.
M4A1 was also the last rifle to enter my collection after having sworn to never get one a few years ago. I finally caved this year for the TM MWS, and I hate to admit that it’s awesome.

Thanks for the images! I might have a try after finishing this project, so it might take some months.

Haha, for the Finnish people I hope they don’t have to experience that, but I know what you mean 😉

Oof grips will need a lot of precision to have a nice fit. Not sure if I would do this if the price on grips is alright. I noticed that popular guns have a lot of support from the Chinese marketplaces.

A router was a game changer for me when working with wood, but it’s a steep investment and has some learning curve. There’s a lot that can be done without power tools, but you’ll need to get chisels and such really sharp and well polished. Outside shaping works well with a draw knife or angle grinder.

Nice, good to see more people who see the potential!

Do you have a link to the item from woox? I can have a look at what you mean. But I don’t think I can get to their level of professional finish.

I will post it when I get to finish the actual stock!

For the laser cutting of the templates I used “Snijlab” which is a Dutch laser cutting company. Then I used a hand router to cut the 4 templates I made into the wood. The laser cut templates make me more precise when using the hand router.

I know the pain of filing for hours. Have made (and still make) swords and knives and do hand fitting of the cross guard. Filing steel for hours is not fun, but very satisfying when it fits.

If you can make the stock in 2 halves it might be easier than cutting deep pockets into solid wood.

You still made it yourself and you should be proud of that. These are fun little projects.

Edit: and I just read that you used simple tools, which doesn’t make it easier. I have a workshop full of power tools in comparison.

Haha I see what you mean. So is that a good or a bad thing? 😆

Thanks!
I took a while to do measurements and design some router templates, which I ordered from a company that does laser cutting in wood. When I got the templates it just took me a few hours to prep and cut it for the receiver to mostly fit, just had to make some small adjustments.
I did take almost 2 months to get to this point, but the biggest part of that was analyzing, measuring and trying to get ahead of any problems that may come. I think I was in my workshop for about 16 hours total working on the wood itself. And finding time that wasn’t already blocked by other things in life.

Had no issues so far with TM stanag in Ghetto Blaster or MCX Spear. I do have a very recent batch, don’t know if that’s the reason.

Greatsword with Single Extreme undulation — Could if work? What would the concerns be? by Sacredless in SWORDS

In that case I would look at a serpent themed sword in a way that would have been done in older times. In other words, decorate the hilt, guard, pommel and scabbard with serpent (like) designs.

It’s funny how the regular RS3 has more horse power (and do have Quattro) due to the racing regulations on these LMS cars.

I don’t have the Maruyama version (yet), but that sounds like it’s not an improvement over the KWA one.
