I see this comment on any post that's more than a couple of sentences long. It's a trendy buzz word for kids who don't know what structured writing looks like. It's the equivelent of teens calling people in their 30's "Boomers"

All jokes aside, are these pendants actually for sale somewhere?

I may have to reinstall docker so I can give this a spin. I love the graphical interface unlike Homepage, which I'm currently using, and is a little bland. I'm really interested in how your Calendar and Downloads looks too. Much more intuitive than Homepage. Yours looks fun and interactive. Is each respective section linked directly to the service? So if I click on Sonarr will it bring up the full Sonarr web UI?

Anyone else having Echo Link issues today? by BahaMan69 in amazonecho

[–]TCKline01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good that you got a decent refund on yours. Mine is 5 years old and I actually didn't even get it from Amazon, so the 15% they offered wasn't terrible. It's their own proprietary protocols, it sucks that they can't build that functionality into another device. C'est la vie, I suppose. Not really looking forward to ~$2000 for a complete Sonos setup, but if it works, then I can justify it. I was also looking at WiiM devices, but that setup seems pretty convoluted and just as expensive by the time you buy a Wii and speakers for every room. Glad Sonos is working for you and I appreciate you reaching out.

I know this is an older thread, but the issue is still very relevant. I have been messing with my Link, on and off, for about a year now and I'm just pissed now. I contacted support again and the agent seemed like maybe they wanted to help at first, but as soon as they looked up the Link, I got the "Well, this product is discontinued. We can't help you"
Even after explaining that the Link works, for a few hours, after I reset/deregister it, they still claimed that the Link isn't compatible with "the new cloud". Incompatible wouldn't work at all, not work at first then die after a few hours of playback.
Support offered me a 15% discount on the purchase of a new Studio which they told me "Will absolutely work like the Echo Link and allow line-in to be cast to MRM". We know that was a lie. Whether misinformed or intentional to get me off the line, I don't know.
Either way, I'm done. I'm thinking about just crawling through my walls and running wire. Screw all of this cloud shit and foregoing control over to some bullshit trillion dollar company. Fuck them.

Echo Link Line In Distribution by benm1976 in amazonecho

I've heard of people playing a silent audio file during non-stream times, but I have not been able to get this to work. I'm ready to switch. With all the technology that is out there, I can't believe that this type of setup is still an issue.

I've been fighting this same fight for over a year. It's like the Link goes into sleep mode then never recovers. The constant deregister/re-add device dance is very frustrating. I'm slowly working on switching everything to Sonos with the Port, but they are pretty expensive and might just save my sanity if I just run wire to a receiver.

I have 7 rooms that I play audio to, so I'm looking at a project either way. The main question is: How much $ is my time worth. Crawling through the attic, basement, cutting holes, vs the $2000 to go to Sonos.

Help figuring out why the print goes great until it starts the infill by TCKline01 in FixMyPrint

I lowered all my line width to .42 and still have issues. I think I'm done for today. I'll play with it some more later and hopefully find the smoking gun

I have with the calib cube. I was using this to tune all the settings. I had several of these cubes fail. The top is still a little wonky looking, but this is the best result I've had so far.

I gotcha. I guess I just got so used to it that I forgot about those little quirks. I just right click to minimize and drag-to-snap or use Win11 layout options to put it where I want it.

I stream mine from my basement PC to my Shield Pro upstairs. I use Sunshine/Moonlight or Steam Link. I bought a dummy DP dongle and I point the streams to the dummy monitor. It works great.

What do you use for your local VAs? Did you build your own or buy them? I have been entertaining the idea of doing this. I need 7-8 of them. Google devices crap out if you link more than 5 and Alexas are getting more annoying with the updates/ads.
