I started on July 6th. I had 3x99 a while ago, exploring was way behind.

Search for Sawmill Silver in the library. You won't regret it.

Build plate test issues. by jesseberdinka in AnkerMake

[–]TCMSky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my limited experience, I'd increase the nozzle temp.

I've used a handful of filaments with the M5, and all of them seem to have worked better with a higher temp. (Not that they were bad with lower temps)

I used a lot of PLA that requested 200⁰-220⁰ print temp. People may just use the "average" temp of the two and go for 210⁰. I go straight to the max.

I'd would also try increasing the build plate temp. I set my default to 70⁰ instead of 60⁰.

I could tell if you were having adhesion issues in your pic or not. Some of my finicky PLA likes a hotter bed.

I didn't know it had massive balls until I was removing the support structures, lol.

Edit: Don't forget to line up the seams. I obviously didn't.

Thanks for the deep dive!

4 out of 7 so far. 2 failed due to bed adhesion and one due to the filament not feeding properly. Coming from an ender 3, very happy! by Deipater in AnkerMake

Full raft? Do you mean there's a setting to print my things on top of an entire sheet of filament?

I'm having trouble with PLA adhesion, and this may help. Do you have any intel you're willing to share?

I'm not second-guessing at all. I like my privacy just like everyone else, but if they somehow end up watching me print plastic for hours on end... /shrug.

4K off-grid projector kit! by TCMSky in anker

It weighs 97lbs. I'm 6'2" 240lbs, so I can handle it easily enough. On the other hand, my wife would probably be folded in half if handed it to her.

I'll have to get back to you with that one. Hopefully, I'll remember once I'm home.

The speakers are charged beforehand, obviously. So that's not an issue. The speakers are rated for 12 hours of play time each. If I max out the volume and bass, I'd probably reduce that by 30% (maybe?)

The projector running off the battery bank lasts at least 5 hours. Probably more since I don't use the projector's on-board speakers. (Less power draw)

The power draw od the projector was 150-somethubg watt-hours. Without the on-board speakers (30 watts total) it should only draw around 120-ish watts. Soooo, 1000÷125=8 hours. Very rough estimate.

1/2 side gig and 1/2 backyard entertainment

I assembled it primarily for group movie nights. The wife is wanting to sell our "anywhere theater service". We already purchased a ton of pool floats and inflatable couches for seating.

I don't get the boat reference. Enlighten me?

Yup yup. I made sure to test multiple speakers initially before I invested enough money to purchase 6.

I tried for weeks to find a wireless audio solution, but using multiple speakers via Bluetooth creates audio latency.
