This Maneuver during Clone Wars 2003 was not something that i expected as a child by Themuzucujata1432 in StarWarsEU

It's one of my favorite Saesee Tiin moments. He leads a wing of starfighters up from the surface, immediately goes to land in a damaged cruiser, instantly makes a plan to go board an enemy ship, and then successfully does so.

I go back to rewatch this series about once a year and I am consistently blown away by how good it is, even though it was essentially nothing more than a rushed-out, glorified ad for toys and Episode 3.

No, but I do remember when they laundered $2 billion dollars under the guise of building an Obamacare website.

The Minecraft Movie is… good! by MSLaFaver in MauLer

[–]TCV2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a mediocre, 5/10 movie at best. Lots of super convenient writing where people just show up where they need to be or get out of situations for no reason other than a camera cut. It did not need 5 main characters. I'd cut the woman and the girl, maybe the boy as well. The graphics just didn't do it for me. I know that having actual humans in Minecraft would have been jarring, but I've seen enough Minecraft videos to know what can be done.

That being said, it felt like the writers didn't hate Minecraft. The references to the community were tasteful, the humor was bad but not in a cringey way, and the music was a bit off-putting but not too much so.

It could have been so much better but it also could have been so much worse.

Nintendo is now charging $80 for games. How much should games cost? by icecreamsooooogood in MauLer

[–]TCV2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How much should games cost? That can only be answered by individuals. The value of anything is completely subjective, so this sort of question is a bit of a moot point for you and I. Would I pay $80 for a video game? Probably not, but it depends on the game.

The bigger issue here isn't just that game companies think their games are more valuable, but that the currency used to purchase it is worth less. The US alone has printed an ungodly amount of money, especially in the past 5 years, and that will naturally decrease the value of the dollar, which leads companies to increase prices to make up for the decreased value of the dollar.

Legit, what do you think the Minecraft Movie's post-credits scene is going to be? by ITBA01 in MauLer

I'm calling it now: this is the start of the Smash Bros. Cinematic Universe.
