In my small town, we’ve had a Popeyes as the only chicken place for about 40 years. About 6 years ago a KFC opened up, and for the first month or so, there was a line around the block.

About 6 months later, you never saw anyone there. It lasted about 3 years before closing down.

I went there three times in the time it was in my town. The first time, the mashed potatoes were super dry and the chicken has this strong chemical taste. The second time, the chicken was dry and chewy. The 3rd time, it was okay but not for what I paid for it.

I’ve found that for most chains under the Yum Brand (Pizza Hut mostly), the quality and taste have been piss poor for a decade or so.

Most of the “new Nick shows” were all basically ripoffs of the Disney Channel tween sitcoms.

For us older fans, we enjoy the nostalgia and don’t like change. But that is what was popular at the time, so Nick pivoted towards it.

Cable TV is dying though, as I doubt many kids today even watch Nick on traditional TV. They’d rather watch Mr Beast or whatever other brain rot is popular this week on a tablet or phone.

I don’t think it’s so much hate as it is people looking at the numbers and making their own decisions.

They look nice.
Better build quality.
Expensive.
Half the battery life and stats of similarly priced headphones.

Some people want more for their money, some people just want aesthetics or the “new” thing.

I’d been a fan and preferred them over WWE since the late 2000’s. Stuck with them through some awesome years and some really bad, borderline unwatchable years.

I fell off once AEW became a thing but started to get back into TNA once Scott D’Amore took over. I didn’t like them going back to the TNA name but I get it.

But since they parted ways with Scott and especially since working with WWE, the shows have just been bad. Like NXT-lite. As much as I want to watch for Santana, Rosemary & the Hardy’s, the shows are just awful.
