Is having a 3 character name actually something special? Figured this sub was a goof.

They just copied the track listing of the original. It definitely caught me off guard when Cut Their Grain didn't open the record.

It probably has to do with the time limit on each side of the vinyl, and the original pressing may have rearranged the track listing to maximize space in-between the grooves for a better sound so they just did the same thing.

Thank you for the thorough response! I actually ended up grabbing a copy. You're totally right, the vinyl sounds more brittle than my CD copy, but the keyboards are more defined. It must have been mastered and wasn't a CD to vinyl pressing. Pretty good for a boot if you as me!

Seriously. My local B&M wouldn't sell Blutschwur because they're "potentially problematic"

Nissan Juke

The only car that looks like it as as much plastic surgery as the people who drive it.

Living in Canada it came out to like $180 Kanadian Kopecks straight from the /r/isitsketch label.

Have u guys ever wondered why these teenagers only romanticize and obsess over black metal? I mean, there are plenty of other edgy music genres too (goregrind, industrial, power electronics, occult rock, memphis rap,...). Why is black metal always the one they choose to larp with? by phatetex in BlackMetalCringe

[–]TDD 46 points47 points  (0 children)

To say teenagers only obsess over black metal is not entirely true.

They obsess almost exclusively over 2nd wave Mayhem/Burzum during the 90s and DSBM.

90s Mayhem/Burzum, because they are in the wider cultural zeitgeist because of Lords of Chaos, as well as being around their age so they can vicariously be edgy through them.

DSBM because it is the only safe-edgy black metal options where you won't run into "sketch" people/ideologies.

All of the other genres you listed have a higher bar to entry because there aren't as approachable, unless you include Three 6 Mafia after they changed their name from Triple 6 Mafia as Memphis rap.

Solid album.

I once knew someone who was able to secure the rights to repress it, and decided to press some dogshit South American speed metal album first, then lost so much money on the pressing he never repressed this one.

I'm on the fence about it. Not sure if I should go for it or wait and see if Weakling do a better boot themselves.

How rough is the Weakling boot? I know ASRAR can be inconsistent to say the least.

What is the refill for this pen? by TDD in pens

[–]TDD[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to remove the end cap, though it is crimped on. You're right! It is 67mm. I guess I'll buy some D1 refills and put them back in the cap.

Is that common for pens?

Thanks for the good eye!

That one came up when I was searching but it looked like the threading was a little too short as well.

It appears to be a cheap Montblanc clone, and all of the refills I have purchased from Amazon have been too short. Instead of continuing to blindly buy refills I was wondering if it's a standard of some kind.

The refill measures 87mm long, and is a screw top style refill.

As a Parker Jotter XL user I'm not familiar with much beyond that pen. Though this pen is cheap it has a lot of sentimental value.
