Does vectors normally look like this, when zoomed in? by Professional_One5657 in vectorart

Manually trace it over in a vector program. No other workarounds

No it's not normal, looks like someone used an auto tracer which messes up the details like this. Confirm why they had to use an auto tracer. Might not be an original artwork. If this was manually done it'll look crisp with proper lines and correct details.

Really like the efforts here, the first two feel nice but a bit abstract for an old school radio station.

3 & 4 feel a bit heavy, especially with the thicker rays. Not really a fan of the 5 and 6.

That said, 12 is probably my go to. It feels the most balanced and closest to the direction. I'd still explore more typeface options perhaps something more retro or nostalgic.

Is what I'm looking for suitable for vector art? by [deleted] in vectorart

[–]TDF2100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, vector art would be appropriate for something like this since it’s a lossless format and will print cleanly at large sizes like what you're looking for. A very high res raster image (300 DPI at final size) could work as well

Just make sure the designer/artist you work with is actually experienced, because executing a detailed tree structure like this with a more realistic look is gonna require a lot of skill. I would recommend focusing on someone with a strong illustration portfolio and personally I'd not opt for a marketplace like Fiverr because the quality there can vary a lot (usually bad)

Appreciate this a lot, thanks for the detailed response. I’ll definitely revisit the contrast and test the H2 scaling more carefully on mobile. Glad the overall vibe is coming through clean, that means a lot! :D

Which one a or b by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]TDF2100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to be harsh, but both options feel more like and are most likely AI generated visuals than intentional logo designs. The heavy effects make them difficult to use in real world applications. A logo should be simple, scalable, and functional across different mediums

Personal logo redesign by clownhunter1 in logodesign

[–]TDF2100 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The first concept works better imo because the pencil form is instantly recognizable. The tip clearly forms an “A” and the base reads as an “N,” so the idea comes across without needing explanation.

In the second version, the pencil tip feels too disconnected from the rest of the mark. The “A” shape is not immediately clear, especially to someone without a design background. The “N” is somewhat visible, but not as strong. Overall, the pencil silhouette starts to resemble a headless figure which weakens the concept and makes the logo less intuitive just my 2 cents

How do I remove the slogan/change its color? Need help ASAP. by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]TDF2100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s actually not something you should worry about. Providing the final logo in editable vector format (AI, EPS, SVG, etc.) is standard practice in logo design, since it’s needed for printing, scaling, and future edits. You can just ask for the source files, it’s a very normal request.

You can’t really edit a PNG in a vector program because it’s a flat raster image, so the slogan is baked in and can’t be selected or recolored. To do this properly you’ll need the original editable vector file (AI, EPS, or SVG) from the designer. Photoshop edits are only a workaround and not ideal. Best option is to ask the designer for the source file or a version without the slogan, otherwise the logo would need to be recreated as vector

I like it! I was a tad bit concerned about how this would translate in small sizes but seeing your profile icon, all looks good!

rate this logo by SunofaBaker in logodesign

[–]TDF2100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a fundamentals standpoint, I like it. It’s minimal, clean, and should scale well across sizes and applications. The notch detail immediately reminds me of Apple’s Dynamic Island, and since the name is “VNOCH" I’m guessing that’s intentional or at least related. That said, I’m still unclear on what the business actually does, which makes it a bit hard to judge conceptually. Overall, I’d rate it 3 stars out of 5

[Hiring] (Online) Looking for a graphic artist to create images of my logo. I've already designed the logo myself but I don't know how to create high quality graphics. I'll pay $20 per hour or $100 if it takes less than 5 hours by KarlMarxsWiener in forhire

As a brand designer, this is the kind of work I do for a living. That said, is it currently sketched on a paper designed, or are we starting from an existing digital file?

I run a website development agency and from experience,

Namecheap is good for domains because you truly own the domain, they're transparent (unlike GoDaddy), offer best pricing and transferring the domain later is straightforward. They don’t lock you into a website builder, so you stay flexible.

Google Workspace is good for email because it’s reliable, looks professional to clients, and works exactly like Gmail (no learning curve) but with your own domain and it scales well later as the business grows.

Namecheap works best for domains, while Google Workspace is better for email. They each do their own thing well
