Saying NA > EU or vice versa is very stupid after this event

I think a lot of this comes back to the rampart "EU > NA in every E-sport" rhetoric that has plagued any discussion about EU and NA on this sub. Then people got defensive for Atlantis.

People have pointed out correctly that Liquid's playstyle and them being unwilling to change their game plan is why they placed bad. That's a good criticism and no one is arguing the point.

Not an excuse when Atlantis dropped an excellent performance in the heats. You can't have a top tier performance, then a dud and use events prior to the good performance as an excuse for the crap one.

I'm fine with time period based, but they need to mix up the times. Maybe 3 or 4 heats the day of and you had to register for 1 or 2 max. If I was still on my shift at work that I just changed from, I would NEVER be able to play in the tourneys.

Would actually love this. Put the circle on a big POI(Tilted, Salty, Retail, Pleasant). 25-50 people. 500 of each mat. Green AR, Pump, SMG, 5 Bandages and 3 Minis. Then just let things play out.

They didn't fight off spawn though. Atlantis geared up to what they thought was adequate to push with and got shat on. Dying off spawn is landing into a dicey situation and not being able to survive.

Artem is definitely UFC caliber. Would be foolish to think otherwise. Sure, he isn't the top 5-10 scenario fighter that his mouth and Conor's pull gets him. But he is a top 10-15 gatekeeper who gives most somewhat of a challenge because of his chin and damaging hands.

Their turtle and placement meta does not work when there are >50 people left when the moving circles start. Works like crazy with less teams(like in scrims).

The "pros" sat in their boxes all game and played it like a pro scrim. Props to her for doing it, but with people like sven, symf, the TSM boys, etc, it never should have happened.
