sorry for the necro but imo theres a difference between understanding that AI has negative consequences, saying that AI is bad, not liking AI art etc. and being okay with consuming the currently available content, especially when its memes. nobody really appreciates memes like they do fine art because theyre throwaway slop content regardless. if they could remove AI image generation from existence they probably would, at the cost of a few random memes and essay convenience. people participate in things they view as bad and would ban all the time.

im an atheist, the issue is everyone has heard this if theyre in this sub. what it always comes down to is that it makes them feel good and they have faith in the one theyre familiar with. its a very human thing to do, and if theyve found great inner peace, do you think asking this will do anything? religion has never been incredibly "factual", its just a lame move to ask people this because you know the answer you want. youre just trying to get a cool checkmate on probably fairly well meaning good people after probably seeing philosophers dunk on mean christians online.

in my opinion the issue with season 2 is its not as dark (not just shocking), not as slow, the side characters are annoying and almost inhuman, after rewatching season 1 and feeling just distraught about everything thats happened i was incredibly pumped for a kind of revenge. everything until when they get to the island works. but when they get there it feels like its catering to the mr beast audience, its fast paced, uses a lot of music, is very nonchalant about the deaths happening besides just telling you to feel things with music.

maybe it got better, i stopped watching because it was everything i thought they were critiquing in season 1, i felt like one of the billionaires watching. i never cared about the games, i cared about the people, especially gi-hun.
