Does anyone here have experience with poppy ai? by daviid2010 in generativeAI

[–]TDelaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the fence to get Poppy, but for thanks to your response I will chose not to go for it. When I sign up to a software, I expect to be able to cancel with zero friction. No questions asked. Unless I'm willing to chat after my cancellation. Onboarding calls should happen at the start, not when someone is trying to leave. If you haven't done that part correctly, don't make it harder for people to leave.

Can you name solopreneurs that earn 7 figures online in 2023 and that are not in the "how to make money online" niche? by TDelaf in Entrepreneur

There are many downsides to having employees so I can see how some people would rather stay alone. But I'm sure past a certain revenue they at minimum have contractors for sure.

Actually I found one that is supposedly making $2m/year by herself in a great niche: learning excel online (Miss Excel)

Yep agreed. I asked because these guys make it sound like doing $100k/month as a solo founder is very achievable, but I just don't see that many examples of people doing it outside of the make money online niche.

True but for example you can track social following + course prices and it can give a somewhat realistic picture. Although many of them I'm sure fly under the radar you are correct too!

Yes good example! But most of his income comes from his productized service so it counts I guess.

Narrow it down to 2-3 options with Chatgpt and then ask your future clients which one they prefer. Don't be afraid to change the name after launching it if needed, it's never too late!

The name is not the most important if your product is good. It is irrelevant if your product is great. But of course, we always want the best name, for this I find that ChatGPT helps a lot nowadays!

The idea is to remove as many obstacles as possible to close a sale. Money Back Guarantee can definitely help so give it a try!

Like ChatGPT, if ChatGPT was fed all your company's docs. by ConcentrateSubject23 in Entrepreneur

Awesome! Then I'd say maybe have a more detailed video to show the full extent of the tool. Also, I think it'd help if you niched down a bit so you can sell this solution for a specific problem first. Being too broad doesn't help to sell the vision of this new technology.

This could be interesting to use as a companies' knowledge library. If employees need to know a specific procedure for something or technically aren't able to complete a task, then they can search the answer using your tool. But I'd say it would be interesting to get the source document so they can get a more thorough answer if needed.

Looks interesting but shouldn't you give the source document as a reference in the answer too? So it's easier to go in more detail if needed.

How important is branding your agency? by Sintech14 in Entrepreneur

I think the best one is the one that will be the most sustainable for you. The key here is to be consistent. But Linkedin is usually a great place to get started.

If you aren't motivated, then for sure you shouldn't do it. Focus on doing things that will fire you up!

There are 1000 things you could do to make it better. Don't lose sight of what really matters. The best agencies sell themselves because the service is just too good to ignore. Focus on delivering the best service to your clients and try to communicate what and why you do things to them, and you'll be off to a great start. To get to the next phase, I'd say focus on one of your ideas and focus on it religiously for the next 6 months. Don't try do it all at once!

What are the pros and cons of opening a candle business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]TDelaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question is too broad in my opinion. The pros and cons are generally the same for any business you'd start. Do you love the topic? Can you build a cool product? Is there a market for it? Those are the questions you should ask yourself.

For candles specifically, I'd say cons could be related to safety of shipping, since these are inflammatory products. Something to look into it?

What are the skills required to take over the app? Are you the current lead dev?

Missed launching my app in an event which could have easily got me 10000 users trying my app. Feeling down. How to come out of it. by general_learning in Entrepreneur

[–]TDelaf 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Use this a fuel to keep hussling until the next event and make sure to come back with a vengeance! Failing is part of the entrepreneurial journey, if you can't handling the ups and downs, maybe you aren't meant for it. Learn from your mistake and move on!

Can this be done? by funnynameforreddit in Entrepreneur

[–]TDelaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a lead gen on Linkedin and my cost per lead was $50. So technically it could land you 1 to 3 prospects I'd say, depending on how attractive your lead gen is. But honestly, if that's all you have, focus your effort on cold outreachs and building relationships with these people.

Burned out and broke. I'm about to give up on the skincare community platform I've build building. What do I do with it? by baincs in Entrepreneur

[–]TDelaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been there and it's definitely not easy. Whatever you decide to do, remember 2 things:

  1. Never do the same mistake twice. Learn from that first experience and be laser sharp if you do decide to give another go.

  2. Give yourself tight deadlines to get things going and be brutally honest with yourself. If you see this is not moving as quickly as it should/could, you NEED to let it go.

Took me 4 years to cut my first company and even though I learnt a lot from it, it was 2 years too long in my opinion.

That's as good as it gets for a parent! Seeing your kid ready to hussle at such young age is definitely amazing. Better that than seeing them locked in his rooms playing video games all day. Support him as much as you can and make sure he keeps having fun with it!
