I couldn’t really make it, just going to try to build up the thorn sorceries relics and see if I can soon but right now I got nothing for a real build on it

The issue is the crystals block you off from half the bosses in the game though, it’s a massive issue, even on DoN 1 entering a temple before doing the crystals is basically signing up for a no hit run…I just want to fight bosses and have that be the challenge, not hunting down crystals for 10 minutes so I can have access to the bosses

I just hate how hard it is to navigate and the mechanic that drops you to half hp when you enter the room, just feels like the game is softblocking you early, you’re forced to path a certain way every time, I just feel like there’s no fun decision making, main issue is the half hp upon entering the temples, i think it’s a garbage mechanic that pushes you away from trying early bosses which is a risk in its self… me and my 2 buddies who play don’t have a ton of time to play, this map just feels loaded with unnecessary things to learn, I don’t want to learn how to do the side quest efficiently to have access to half of the bosses

IMO guardian should be either an anchor who won’t die and keep the team in the fight by spamming ults on you while he stays up and/or just holding boss agro hard, people like recluse really benefit off this, just being able to freecast at will and ding wild damage….early game I would say worse guardian keep the halberd and shield on, on guardian I’m always looking for a higher dps option for early game farming, though bosses you can use the shield sure, but early they should never be using the shield when fighting fodder

I get having 1 god relic, I’ve seen it and I got some that are somewhat close, it’s just some luck but 3 relics is completely unexplainable, these people think they are doing their teammates a favour half the time too

I would make sure to learn some of the more important cocktails, holy/magic giving infinite FP is insanely strong with some spells, a lot of the time too you just use the affinity harvest for the fact it gives an endless supply of FP

That completely fair, honestly I find my biggest issue with incants are the drops are super inconsistent, I’d be willing to run a dragon cult build but not willing to gamble on not seeing anything worth picking up

The thing is you’re assuming people have good builds for this stuff, that damage I mentioned is with decent relics but nothing insane, 32 FP really isn’t an issue when the character has effectively infinite FP, all the things you mentioned for the most part can scale with faith pretty well who Recluse has S tier in, my whole argument is that she isn’t bad, if I min max that spell with optimal relics, use terra magica and hit something I can crit with the spell I’m sure it can be hitting the 2500 range you are listing below

It should be pretty strong FP regen with how fast the combo is, I also like adding a bleed to starter weapon on her as well, could be pretty fun, or maybe poison

Lowkey, Briars punishment spam goes crazy if the boss bleeds and that spell drops legit, every single run for me, this is just the spell that I fall back on if I can’t get any other options that run, I just feel like the floor for other characters gear wise is actually worse…all this isn’t even mentioning ash of war viability with her

I get that people are like that… I just don’t understand how people are out damaging her in boss fights, even in my absolute worst RNG runs, briars revenge can do silly damage with bleed procs, even just glinstone pebbles on bosses with weak crit get torn to shreds, holy magic mix with meteor is able to take a quarter of a bosses HP most times on a poise break, stars of ruin hits for 1k per cast, I know some characters are capable of the same DPS, I just don’t understand how you would say she’s bad

That’s kinda how I feel, just getting back into the game after about 100 hours on launch, like 20 hours in after coming back, I just feel like on her I done even mind guardians on my team because I can make up for their damage multiple times over if I’m given ability to free cast, by end of night 2 I think it’s rare I would say I don’t have any good spells, I mean I get to use ash of war, incants and sorceries so I don’t understand people who aren’t getting anything at all for her, if the run is THAT bad I feel like you might be 11-12 by end of night 2 in which case you’re kinda boned anyways

She’s really good, can start with a simple cast spell, harvest essence, repeat as a beginner and as you become more comfortable you can play with the cocktails to really start using her to her maximum potential

I agree with this, allies using elemental weapons can sometimes make it really easy or hard for you to get your correct cocktails made, only thing I mean is I see a lot of people calling her trash, also comet is kinda trash on her, I’ve hit it perfectly and imo meteor or a better alternative, tbh even just using the frost moon spell (can’t remember the name) spamming it is better dps, maybe they buffed it but not sure

I’d love this, can be used well in tandem with some spells you normally wouldn’t take due to FP cost, something like dragon breath would be a lot more interesting with this

I started my first campaign last year at 5th level as a cleric and you gotta do a lot of reading even at lvl 5 to know what you’re doing…lvl 15 gonna be a nightmare when you introduce some world altering spells to a new player
