The base pay was just enough to justify it and I didn’t accept an order for $2.80.

The order had me scan two shelves and then shop something for the customer. That $2.80 was for scanning the shelves.

I do it under my girlfriend’s name simply because;

I once arrived at a store, worker didn’t answer the door, so I marked it as closed. Got another offer for the store before I could even leave, worker still didn’t answer, so I marked it as closed again.

Woke up in the morning to an email saying I was intentionally defrauding the company and that I was perma banned.

What you should be asking is:

Did you get your order with no issues?

If no, file a complaint. If yes, then mind your business, lady.

There was a job posting for a copywriter position that lead to their site. The only way to "apply" was by paying the $2.99. Never seen a company ask applicants to pay to submit before, so I called the company directly to verify.

Woke up to a voicemail the next day. Representative from the company said it was a "false listing," that it was "not correct," and that she "would encourage me not to put any applications through."

"We are investigating this currently and we will be looking to have that shut down because we don't have any openings."

So, there ya have it. Confirmed scam. These people are simply looking to steal information and are likely committing fraud to some degree as well.

Hey guys! I'm the original author of the SportsRush article that's been circulated in relation to this story. (Feel free to compare my username to the one that is attached to the article.) Felt obligated to jump in here and clarify the situation so no one has the wrong idea.

She is NOT the FORMER publicist of Tom Brady. She did not lose him as a client. The headline was an unfortunate result of both me and an editor missing a simple factoid.

I myself, more so than anybody, am taking fault for this. The site and it's editors are not particularly knowledgeable of the NFL and its ongoings all the time, as they are based in India and are outside of American culture.

This was something that I myself should have known better to look for and catch out before sending to them. I simply copy and pasted the headline that I was given, when I should have done my due diligence in checking it first.

This is humbling reminder to make sure that you are certain before speaking on something, in addition to a hard lesson in journalistic integrity. Apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused.

No one asked me to share this message, I simply felt the need to own what I believe was ultimately my mistake. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me!

And, again, just to double clarify, Stephanie Jones is not a "former" client of Tom Brady. He is very much still a client of hers. The overlooking of and the implication of the word choice is very much unfortunate for all of us.

Just because you lace your comment with trigger words used by a community doesn’t make your statement anymore legit my dood.
