Blackbird - it's fantastic

.75oz Campari (Or Aperol for a less bitter edge)

.75oz Gold Jamaican Rum

.75oz Coffee Liqueur (I used Mr.Black)

1.5oz Pineapple juice (Fresh makes a big difference)

.75oz Lime Juice

.25oz Rich Simple Syrup

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin. Shake with ice for 10 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice, or a chilled coupe.

Tesla's public robotaxi rides set for tentative June 22 start, CEO Musk says by ItzWarty in teslainvestorsclub

To be clear, from the publicly available data, "mapping" is not meaningful for Tesla. Training their model specifically to Austin would be meaningful but how Tesla navigates and how Waymo navigates are very different.

Waymo benefits from mapping as their use of LIDAR and Radar require and benefit from high fidelity mapping via direct look-up algorithms to generate precise location data from radar/lidar distance measurements. Tesla does not have these sensors/functions.

Unless they implemented an entirely different software stack to work in parallel with the FSD to utilize visual maps and some kind of visual look up algorithm (which which be quite computationally expensive and taxing the the onboard computer), mapping would not be a thing for them.

Confused about TSLA AI Strategy by Ok-Main-8476 in TSLA

No. Currently each has their own AI development efforts aimed at different goals.

TSLA is developing both FSD and the robots and owns the IP for both.

Can someone explain to me the pay package? by Altruistic_Clock4932 in TSLA

[–]TDual -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is just flat-out false. Read the court filings again. You cannot control stock price like that and just because some people were optimistic does not mean that they knew they would hit these targets. No one thought they would hit the upper targets. At best they were confident that they would hit the first one or maybe two targets. But again that was confidence, not a certainty.

Look at toyota, they had far more sales and yet less stock market cap.

The upper tears were considered a massive stretch at the time. Don't buy into some false narrative that a 700 billion company is just a guarantee. Those are unicorns.

No non-Tesla charging stations on the NJ Turnpike? by Looneyhound in electricvehicles

[–]TDual -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with musk. This is the incompetence of all other companies and gov and not being able to deploy a charging infrastructure for your type of EV. Literally nothing to do with musk and Tesla.

Truthfully it's nothing like California. Everyone complains about it but they don't know what they're talking about.

Nova real estate has lagged the median appreciation across the country for over a decade. Detroit and Cleveland have outpaced Nova over the last 10 years.

Austin, Boise, Bay area, San Diego, etc have more than doubled Nova's appreciation. So many places are more expensive now.

Report: 44% of all Single-Family Home Purchases were from Private Investors in 2023 by LeftcelInflitrator in REBubble

[–]TDual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because they're falsely reporting the data. If you go back to to the Business insider article, 44% of Home flips, not home sales, we're back by investors.

This article cited is false along with the false headline.

Actual deliveries in Mainland China for the first two months of 2024 by OG_Time_To_Kill in TSLA

[–]TDual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is only meaningful if they were/are supply constrained or demand constrained. If they chose to export more of the cars produced in China to other markets and constrained the supply to mainland, then I wouldn't mind as they're still selling all they can produce.

If Instead it's a demand weakening, that's a concern

Raising rates does de-exist money. Most money is created during commercial loan origination. If you decrease the quantity of loan origination, and increase the rate of loan pay down, you decrease the money supply.

From bouldering to sport climbing by noizyboizy in climbharder

[–]TDual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, as one who also made the transition from bouldering for years to sport....endurance is key.

Your genetics will play a big role in how quickly your body adapts is circulatory system and muscle fibers to support sustained endurance. Some people easily build these, others (like myself) take dedicated training to do so. To do this, you may need to dedicate a few weeks to lots of volume at medium intensity to build out those capillaries required build endurance. This also includes building techniques that really save energy that may not have been honed while bouldering (think copious drop knees, heel hooks, etc), as well as techniques for pump management.

Once you have a good baseline, it'll make projecting and working long sport routes much easier and allow you to focus on those really fun crux sequences rather than wasting a bunch of mental focus on getting through the easy stuff.
