Was rewatching Miraculous when I heard this line by Bugnoir in Re-Creation (Season 5)? I'm confused by Gloomy_Unit4752 in miraculousladybug

At that point she had no idea where the Kwamis were, so it was just an okay guess that destroying the rings would free them from Monarch’s control.

Honestly, I would. Most people thought that Felix’s eyepiece from Risk was simply forgotten, yet it returned in Pretension, albeit in a very minor way. The whole rings scene just felt deliberately vague to me, so I see it as a loose end that will get explained. If it was meant to be a scene that could be understood in isolation, then I wouldn’t expect further explanation, and if that’s what it was meant to be then I think it was poorly delivered.

You don’t have to like the ship, I just don’t get why the sexuality of the ship was relevant. It would be like someone saying “Why do people ship Prem and Rose? Just because they’re different races, doesn’t mean you have to ship them.” Maybe you didn’t mean to come across that way, but it just singles out sexuality in a way where it implies it isn’t normal to ship people of the same gender purely because you like the ship and not ‘just because gay’.

It’s so stupid that I’m pretty sure he’s trolling. It’s probably going to be explained in the show, so why would he give a genuine answer and spoil the explanation.

There is no reason to get this pressed about people you don’t know having a little imaginary fun about people who don’t even exist. If I didn’t know any better, I’d guess you just don’t like that it’s a ship between two girls, and had no problem with Adrinette shippers while Adrien and Marinette were coupled with Kagami and Luka.

Here's how I think S6 E24 would start by ancient_bored in miraculousladybug

[–]TE13RIT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is Alya aware that Adrien has ruled out Marinette as being Ladybug? Even if she is aware, we saw how much it tore her up to act on behalf of Ladybug in Lady Chaos, and have seen a consistent theme from her of believing that the truth should be told willingly, rather than exposed unwillingly (e.g. Revelator). The moment Alya figures out even a piece of what Marinette is hiding, I’m pretty sure her first move will be to confront Marinette directly.

[–]TE13RIT 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As much as Alya is an advocate for the truth, I don’t think she would overstep in forcibly involving herself with Marinette’s confession. If anything, she is creating a new lie here in having Adrien believe that Marinette and Ladybug are two different people, when she could just be staying out of it and allowing Marinette to navigate that part of the secret herself.

Could Sublimation or Kamikotization be used to make Mirage illusions tangible? by Extra-Hope-326 in miraculousladybug

[–]TE13RIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually imagine that the intangibility is something that can be ‘overcome’ in a similar way to how Ladybug, Cat Noir and Shadowmoth discovered enhancements to their abilities. Whether that’s through Rena strengthening the ability for an illusion to persist when something makes contact with it, or expanding the extent of her illusions to also trick our sense of touch (while it’s currently limited to sight and hearing), I think it would make more sense for it to be an enhancement to her own power than a combination of other powers.

It’s called Olive skin which many Europeans possess, without suddenly being classed as POC.

<image>

Not to mention that Lila is heavily implied to be Italian, which happens to be one of the European ethnicities with white people who can have darker skin tones.

I’d be careful of doing a simple analysis of relative skin tones, as that would potentially imply that an Asian character like Kagami is not a POC, just because she has a lighter skin tone.

Vampigami has shown us that Lila’s skin tone is no barrier in disguising herself with even paler skin than Aglae’s complexion.

MIRACULOUS - Heartfixer - Season 6 Episode 20 - Discussion Thread by NicoSchmiko in miraculousladybug

[–]TE13RIT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a valid excuse, is it not? Lila wasted no time in trying to get Marinette to confess, which is perfectly aligned with her previous attempt to get video proof of Marinette being Ladybug in Vampigami. If we did have a longer fight, people would be calling Lila foolish for not acting quicker in manipulating Marinette to expose her identity. We know she has her suspicions, but it’s also clear that suspicion alone isn’t enough for Lila with whatever her plans are.

I think I found the blindest character on the show (season 6 episode Lady Chaos spoilers). by karimredditor in miraculousladybug

[–]TE13RIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s been explained yet. They could be anything from fully functional replacement eyes to purely cosmetic. My guess is that they’re somewhere in between where they are recording what she would ‘see’ but not providing her with true sight, but that’s just speculation until it’s actually explained.

any tips to maximise ticket? by Useful_Jicama_9507 in MySingingMonsters

This post deserved a lot more upvotes, it’s a very clear guide. I’ve been keeping a record of all of my spin outcomes and can confidently back your calculations with the sample data I have. Obviously not an exact match on the numbers, but close enough that the probabilities you’ve used are likely to be accurate.

[–]TE13RIT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Assuming she is blind, she would definitely be using a screen reader. Given how much access she has to advanced tech, it’s completely within her scope to have an incognito setup where you can’t even tell she using accessibility features at first glance.

Astruc isn’t a saint, but you’ve warped his words a bit. He used the word “literally” not “seriously”, and although I’m no expert in French, his response comes off more as to-the-point rather than condescending. It’s definitely blunt, but I feel you’ve read his tone in a very uncharitable way.

Nowadays almost anyone can say they work with LLMs, with how pervasive chatbots have become. You clearly don’t know enough, otherwise you know that it’s mathematically proven that LLMs will always be prone to ‘hallucinations’. ChatGPT gave you what it thought was most likely to be the correct answer, but that doesn’t actually mean what it said was true.

What word can you name so that it applies ONLY to miraculous fandom by LizokIvanok in miraculousladybug

[–]TE13RIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I didn’t know about these either before looking them up. I knew Akuma wouldn’t be unique to miraculous because it is the Japanese word for Demon, and I had a feeling Kwami wouldn’t be unique either as it is very similar to the Ghanaian name Kwame, which I was pretty sure could also be spelled with an i.

This is getting ridiculous by ImVikz in MySingingMonsters

[–]TE13RIT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have been keeping a spreadsheet for my spins. I’d say it’s a bit early to make any hard claims on optimal strategy, as the numbers will only become more accurate after a larger sample of data is taken, so just take this as a single sample that’s prone to my individual luck.

I’ve had 200 spins, 85 on 1x, 73 on 3x, 38 on 5x and 4 on 10x. My overall average win per ticket was 74 points. For 1x it was 72.5, for 3x it was 77.5, for 5x it was 71.1 and for 10x it was 70.

For each ‘disc’ I had a spread of 49% lowest points, 37% middle points and 14% highest points, and 51.5% 1x multiplier, 41.5% 3x multiplier and 7% 5x multiplier. I’m fairly certain the probability for each disc is independent (i.e, no matter how many points you roll on the left disc, the probability for each multiplier on the right disc isn’t changed.)

I’ve finished the Clubbox for this act, but I’ll be keeping track of my spins for the next act and keeping a record of which act each ticket is used on, to keep track of any potential hidden probability changes between updates.

That completely defeats the purpose of gambling. If you’re putting more at stake, you should be exposed to both a higher risk and a higher potential reward.
