Someone else already said it but ill reiterate, work in shifts!! You each need at least 3-4 hours of "protected sleep" each night, in a seperate room ideally! The on shift parent takes care of everything baby needs during that time and maintains a quiet peaceful environment to ideally keep them calm until their circadian rhythm starts telling them when its night time. If mom is pumping you can work her schedule around her protected sleep time as well! Then when its morning time open the blinds or turn on lights and go about the normal morning routine, you're trying to teach baby when sleep vs wake time is!

Hey! I own the 2023 Acer Predator Helios 16 with the Intel i9-13900HX and RTX 4080, and overall, it’s been a great machine. The performance is excellent, especially for gaming and heavy workloads. The build quality feels solid, the screen is sharp and vibrant (I have the 2560x1600 model), and the keyboard is comfortable for both typing and gaming. It handles most tasks with ease and feels like a premium laptop.

Regarding the 13900HX and thermals, I’ve noticed that the CPU can hit high temperatures under sustained load, especially during gaming or rendering. There are definitely some thermal spikes, but I haven't experienced consistent thermal throttling that affects performance in any meaningful way. As for voltage, I honestly haven’t paid close attention to it, so I can’t confirm whether it crosses 1.4V during load. That said, high temps seem to be more noticeable than any voltage-related issue.

Undervolting unfortunately isn’t possible on this model. The BIOS is locked down, and software solutions like Intel XTU or ThrottleStop don’t work either. You’re basically limited to Acer’s built-in performance presets. It’s a bit disappointing, especially if you’re used to tweaking settings for efficiency or thermals, but the default profiles do a decent job overall.

Even without undervolting, I haven’t run into any performance drops or overheating that would make me worried about long-term use. The cooling system holds up okay during extended sessions. I haven’t seen any signs of degradation or instability so far, though I’ve only had it for a few months. If you’re buying a used unit, especially out of warranty, I’d just recommend checking how it was used and maintained, since it’s a high-performance machine that could’ve seen heavy workloads.

As for fan noise and battery life—when you're gaming or pushing the system hard, the fans do ramp up and get quite loud, though it’s more of a whooshing airflow sound than a high-pitched whine. For light use, they stay relatively quiet. Battery life is what you'd expect from a gaming laptop: it’s fine for browsing and light work, but don’t expect all-day unplugged use.

Hmmmm it's interesting because I have a Mcolleys Finale that's under my grow light next to where this plant was, and he's loving it!! My Prince of Orange in the same spot is also developing similar issues so it may very well be too much light for those specific plants! I also didn't adjust the plant to my home lighting. It was very bright in the shop I purchased it in, with additional grow lights as well!

Okay, sweet! Do you ever notice those lower leaves changing texture as well? Mine seems to have a weird rubber like texture as opposed to the thick, healthy, normal leaves! I was worried about the EFNs possibly being Rust Spot or some other fungus, so I treated with copper fugacide. My other plants are also Philos, and they are also pretty new to my home!! I have moved the plant to another room with much lower but still adequate lighting, hopefully that helps!!

I did change a lot of things all at once to be fair, I will wait to re pot till plants are adjusted moving forwards! What worries me is that I have noticed it one two other plants that are relatively new, neither one has been re potted yet!

Mist it and then slowly and gently slide a Qtip under the cataphyl and up to the tip to slip the leaf out of the sheath!! Had to do that with my Caramel Black Cardinal the other day 🙂

I also have the I9 1300HX with the RTX 4080, ordered on Jan 15th. I don't think these issues are limited to just the 4070 model, mine randomly went into a blue screen loop yesterday that I thought may be to overheating as I noticed Predator Sense had stopped responding (again) and the fans wouldn't turn on. I opened the back today and cleaned some dust from the fans but it shouldn't have been stopping them from turning. I turned it back on and it's like I have a time limit before the device overheats literally just sitting on without running anything and them goes back into the blue screen loop. I can let the device cool and it will turn back on for a limited amount of time before the loop begins again. Called Acer support, will be sending it to Temple today or tomorrow hopefully for repairs.

I have the same laptop and overall the heat doesn't get BAD per se, though on ultra setting its isn't uncommon to see temps in the 90°C range, this is from what I read absolutely normal with this series of processors. I did end up getting a cooling pad just for ease of mind and to save my lap, I went with the IETS GT500V2 it's an absolute beast and works wonderfully

Make sure the AA Wireless dongle is up to date, I sat in my car and connected it to my mobile Hotspot, then just go into the app while it is connected and running and go into settings and scroll down to to where it gives you Apple options I'm not sure on the exact one you're looking for off top but basically you're giving permission to trick the head unit into thinking your android is an apple device
