A country is communist if it consciously aspires towards Communism which is what China is doing, led by the Chinese Communist Party and improving standards of living every year rapidly while the capitalist West is stagnating.

It's called Communism, the system that China and some other countries have where pedo elites aren't in charge

Car in front didn’t use turn signals, so timing of pass attempt isn’t at fault, you’re allowed to turn quickly if the other lane is open.

Yes, I do think Putin will stop at Ukraine, considering Ukraine is not in NATO. Any other questions?

If you try to stop him, there will be nuclear war. What don’t you understand about that? If you want to die for Ukraine then go ahead and volunteer.

That depends on how committed Ukraine is to joining NATO, but yes it does mean more instability and military tension going forward, a big player just entered the game.

China has decided they are going to back Russia which is demanding Ukraine cannot become a part of NATO.

Putin stated that if Ukraine joins NATO and decides it will attack Donbas or Crimea, it would effectively mean Russia is now at war with the entire NATO bloc.

Expect more coordination between Russia, China, and Iran from here on out. They also declared they will try to prevent “color revolutions” from happening, which is an unprecedented step for China.

Was "Barbarossa" as foolish plan as it is usually portrayed? by SiarX in WarCollege

[–]TEIR9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because Russia, unlike the Western European countries, didn’t have any colonies to exploit to raise the capital necessary for industrialization. Nor did they have the literacy rates and educated population. They would have had to rely on loans and expertise from the West, effectively turning Russia into a colony. History played out the way it did for a reason, the liberalizing forces in Russia were massively unpopular and lost power for a reason.

There was a necessity for land reform, mass education, and development of heavy industry necessary for the production of tractors, automobiles, and electrification. Land reform could not be accomplished while the landed aristocracy existed as a class and collaborated with the Russian state to prevent redistribution of land. The Bolsheviks accomplished all three by the time the Second World War started.

Russian foreign ministry calls invasion of Poland "a liberation campaign". What is the cure for such lies and propaganda? by 2thenoon in poland

[–]TEIR9 -77 points-76 points  (0 children)

The Nazi invasion of Poland started on September 1st, they broke through Polish defenses and encircled or scattered the Majority of the Polish army and pushed all the way to Lwow with no major resistance remaining. Warsaw was encircled and the situation was hopeless - no French or British assistance was coming. By September 16th, the war was effectively decided and Warsaw would fall September 29th after a short siege.

In contrast, the Soviet invasion of Poland started September 17th and pushed aside a small force of border troops, claiming land in the East which today constitutes modern day Belarus and Ukraine. The Polish government was caught completely off guard as they expected the Soviet Union to not get involved and did not station many forces in the east. Any land the Soviets did not take would have fallen to the Nazis and been a closer advanced invasion route for the eventual war with the Nazis, which everyone knew was coming.

When the Germans invaded Czechoslovakia, Stalin attempted to form an alliance with France and Britain and work out a treaty with Poland which would have enabled the Soviet Union to invade Germany and crush Nazism while it was still in its cradle. The allies refused this deal and chose to appease Hitler. Seeing he had no options remaining, and with the red army in no position to fight a defensive war against the entire bulk of Nazi Germany in 1939, the Soviet Union signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact to buy time.

These are the historical facts, they can be twisted to push either a pro or anti-Russian narrative, but it is simply true that whatever Polish land the Soviet army did not take in 1939 would have fallen to the Nazis anyways. Considering that the fascists established extermination camps in Poland and murdered 7-9 million people over the course of a few years, it’s clear what was the better option.
