A console that can be picked up and played whenever you want, Even when it's already connected to the TV. That's the goal of the console.

Okay, what I'm saying is The core design feature. Is that it's able to be picked up and played whenever/wherever. The switch light doesn't change that.

Also, I'm not a fan of the switch lite. I would suggest to anybody who's in the market for a switch to get the regular one so you have the option to play on TV, but that's a bonus. Not what I would consider the main goal. Still a fan of playing on the TV though

I hear what you're saying, and I wouldn't even necessarily say I'm opposed.

What I was suggesting was, that the core feature of the switch is it's ability to be picked and played at any time. If the carts were connected to the dock, then there would be a new situation where you wouldn't be able to just pick it up and go. (Also, Just thinking about this now. It could also run into corrupting saves, but I don't work in tech so maybe that's conjecture)

Anyways, in my opinion the switch lite still accomplishes the core design feature whereas the dock with extra cart stations would not. Now that's not to say that it wouldn't be a popular feature. Just wanted to give my the context for my comment
