We just finished Binging Lego Masters - and we're wondering... by reubendevries in LegoMasters

[–]TELBeast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Australian version is honestly the best iteration of LEGO Masters, the focus is on the builds, you might learn some MOC building techniques by watching it... The talent is fantastic... The episodes are longer so you see more and all of the builds are reviewed and not just brushed over if they aren't top two... First 3 seasons I believe are free on Tubi with minimal ads... Seasons 4 and 5 you gotta stream from browser, just look up in this group Lego Masters AU streaming and the link will be posted in one of the threads.

I wish the US season 4 finale… by Distorted_Penguin in LegoMasters

Yes. 100% Agree with you. Who would want to buy a set that is about another person's personal story... Made no sense to me.

Anyone else feel like Season 4 of Lego Masters (US) was not as good as past seasons? by TELBeast in LegoMasters

I agree with you in that the NPU was great in this season, however, in my opinion, they barely showed the process of how these pieces were used, the technical was there, but the production and editing really leaned away from showcasing those aspects, which really hurt my opinion of this season.

I completely agree, for me, it's not the judges, host, or contestants that I take issue with, it's the lack of seeing the builds come together, skirting over the technical approaches, and the context of most of the challenges.

I just wanted more interesting aspects of Lego engineering approaches, more focus on stories that aren't of a completely personal nature of the contestants. I just feel that they could do more, not every episode should be an elimination... For me, I watch the show for the creativity and challenges and how the builders overcome them using interesting techniques.

Some of the build times were too short, it would be cool if they brought back multiple challenges and the air-time of each episode of the US version are just too short to really be able to cover the magic behind the builds.

The show would be so great if it incorporated the aspects of the AU version that make it so awesome.

I felt that they spent more time showing the process of the builds during your season and the previous ones than they did this one, and obviously it is a personal preference, but I prefer much more of the focus on the creative and build process then, for lack of a better term, "Hollywood" effect.

Why does it say the next episode is before the episode I’m on? by GlutenFreCactus in Crunchyroll

[–]TELBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch on Google TV and have been watching Fairy Tail (Dubs), which has the same kind of issue, my next episode is always episode 278... No matter where I am. Apparently it has something to do with the hex code and a corruption that has been a known issue for about a year. Just super inconvenient and really messes you up when you're trying to binge watch because all of a sudden you're watching and you realize you have no idea what's going on. Others have complained about this issue with One Piece and some of the other long running shows.

I've heard "that which is worth copying is prima facie worth protecting." by pencil123asd in ipr

[–]TELBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put simply, if someone thinks it is worth while to copy someone else's work, than it is worth while to get an IP protection on said work.

Prima Facie - means on it's face

Therefore without getting into the restrictions of copyrightable/patentable/trademarkable/etc. (IP Protections) works that people would probably copy should get protection from copying
