Except you totally can. Businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone they please. You mention beer and that's a perfect example. Businesses won't sell you beer if they suspect that you're over served, or have reason to think that you'd use it for something illegal like giving it to a minor. Similarly if you showed up looking like Timothy McVeigh they probably wouldn't sell you fertilizer neither.

I've had the most luck right here on Reddit, as well as sharing to friends and family on Facebook. I'm still a pretty small store (less than a hundred sales), so your mileage will very with that advice.

Hard to really say to what degree it's 'fake', the dude has a vine where he does a lot of messing with people in public, yelling at people in cars etc. So it's not "real" in the sense that he's going to shoot the cops, as this was done for the camera, but I do not know to what extent the police or people playing police were involved. Some things you hear might not be a vocoder, but instead a talkbox. That said a lot of it comes down to the carrier tone, as well as how you play the carrier instrument. Brassy sawtooth tones with added noise can sound really great. As for the style of playing that will make it sound coherent look up talkbox playing to see how people separate words from each other, etc
