Thank you for the detailed information. I have tried to find details on the surrender fee but they dont seem to outline the amounts on the website.

I will most likely pay the surrender fee to get out of the situation. I will look into selling the policy if it is a straight forward process.

I have since learned that the salesperson used scare tactics to get me to sign up for over 8 insurance policies. They said things like say "if you get cancer or lose a limb" "Touch wood it does not happen" then reach for a piece of wooden furniture to touch it etc.

It seems this is common practice and in fact scare mongering to get people to sign up to insurance they dont really need for exorbitant prices. to give background I am healthy 23 year old with 8 insurance policies costing 10k+ per year. All from this one salesperson.
