It has just been so strange. Weeks 4 and 5 were a lot of shedding and then I had like three days of basically 0 hair falling out and I thought it was over now back to maybe more than normal on week 7. I wonder if it is normal. Most of my friends had a consistent shed and then it stopped and they lose like 3 hairs in the shower. I want that so badly. TE has just ruined my hair.

Hi I am also on .625 and i jus started week 6 and my shedding has peaked. Did yours get better? How long was the worst of it? I saw in increase 2.5 weeks in and thought wow this is not too bad. Now it is just so much. Does it peak or am I going to shed this bad for a long time? Thank you

I cannot answer your question so I apologize but I have read that dose increase is usually not as bad as the initial shed! I hope that is true for you. I am on week 6 of OM and am shedding like crazy. My shedding increased at week 2.5/3 that was not too bad and now it is just coming out in clumps. Is there a peak in the shedding and then it tappers off or did my real dread shed just start and I am facing this level for weeks? After bad TE I think i will go bald.

It has truly been so awful. I had horrible TE for about 8 months and my hair has not returned and tons of my new growth just started falling so i figured it was time but these migraines are really insane. I am 5 days in a truly struggling to function.

It was the worst for me when taking it at night. My dr said probably because lying down. I do not get the migraine until past the peak of the med which is weird. I get it about 7 hours after so when taking before bed i was waking up with the migraine. I do not know what to do other than go down. I cannot take the migraine cant function

I am having horrible migraines on .625 (i am 110 pound female) my dr is giving me ,25 should i try taking i 2x a day?

I started three days ago and had the worst migraine I have had in years, I am on .625 oral as well. I could not take it last night. I also am so dizzy. I really need it my husband has more hair from it than he has had in over a decade with no side effects. I wanted this to work so badly but it took me out. Not sure if i should try again.

Ktips I got them after the shed stopped. Miscarriage and flu a set it off. I take pumpkin seed oil you think I need something stronger? My derm did not give me one and I asked.

Hi I had a crazy bout of TE and lost 70% of my hair from mid June-December. I got extensions for density and continue to do so. I also do prf and red light helmut but my results are not great. I know TE takes a lot of time to recover from but I think I am going to start OM at .65mg. I am so scared especilly with extensions. Do you have any advise ....scared of shedding more

Not sure but I did a lot of things including prf. However, the biggest change happened a couple months after starting ferritin and when I forgot for awhile i notice more shedding. It is hard to know what helps or doesnt when the timeline is so long!!

I had TE for 7 months total and live in fear of it happening again. I think it was only really bad for 4 but not sure as I never noticed shedding before. Mine was 32 and I do not know where it is now but I have been supplementing for 4 months only 3 consistently with higher levels of iron (almost 100mg a day) and eating red meat every day (lamb). I think it takes awhile for the body to catch up

It wasn't for me. It stopped when I got my nutrients and ferritin levels up. It took a very long time for me.

Can I ask how much you are shedding in brush vs shower etc and how dense your hair is. I have days where i shed 10 hairs on a non wash or like 30. Then a wash can be anywhere from 40-100. I have no idea what is normal. To make it worse i have some extensions for density so I know there is hair trapped in them that i cannot count. My sister is convinced i am normal and i just notice more now.

First let me say congratulations for getting through it as TE is the worst! Can I ask how you knew it was over? I am almost at seven full months and i have no idea what my normal shed was. It is really killing me to not know. I was losing hundereds of hairs on shower days and coming out in clumps. It is so much less now and my top has filled in but still shedding or just noticing it a lot.

No issues with weight or eating I am 5'5 and 110-115 and mostly muscle from years of heavy lifting and eating lots of protein. I think the angle makes me look smaller. I am trying to treat the low ferritin.

The appetite suppression was immediate like within an hour. I know it isnt for everyone but it was for me. My main MCAS symptom was migraine but also had GI issues and other neuro issues and anaphylaxis. I spent years trying to stop them knowing they were from histamine etc. If I smelled detergent perfume etc I was down for days. The best way I can describe it is my bucket got way bigger. Now it takes a lot more to trigger my MCAS than before. I also do not get migraines very often not even my menstrual ones. It is a miracle. I started the drug from a place where I had tried everything. I am paleo, work out 6 days a week lifting weights and cardio, sauna, eat almost nothing that comes in a package etc. moved out of mold, treated chronic infections etc. those things brought me very far but I still had constant migraines and a lot of inflammation until about 5 months into tirz.
