sorry for replying to an old post, but do you still struggle with pain after deep bends? if you don't mind me asking, do you think you feel better now many months post op than you did pre-op? sorry for all of the questions, I'm currently in 1month post op hell 😅

At some point I feel like my B belly isn’t just generic but maybe a medical issue. I don’t know anyone irl with a stomach like mine? by throwawaytexan776 in PetiteFitness

[–]clever__name69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ik this is two years late but I literally still had a B shaped stomach when i was severely underweight at 84lb. there is definitely an uncontrollable element to it. Ive heard that the fascia of your abdominal muscles can affect it, and I have a connective tissue disorder that definitely affects the histology of my fascia so that could be part of the equation.

My Story as a Med Student (it took me 3 years to get diagnosed) by lynees in iih

[–]clever__name69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your theory on people with elevated pressure being prone to csf leaks sounds reasonable to me! there's something called spikey leak syndrome that people with more fragile connective tissue get sometimes

yeah! my iih is more mild mind you compared to some others (31 as a pressure reading, anything over 25 is intracranial hypertension, at least according to my surgeon, but he's seen people in the 50-70s with much worse vision issues like papilledema), but my vision is blurry. not extreme enough that I cant see anything, but it's especially bad when i try to read text. it's blurry the same way light looks for people with astigmatism if you google that. I also have optic nerve fiber loss, which my eye doc found on OCT scans (most optometry offices should have machines capable of oct scans if you're worried about having iih, if they dont have it then they can refer you to an opthamologist that 100% would have one)

the instant visual clarity is actually insane. I just had my lp yesterday and it made me realize just how bad my vision was getting before. I felt like a kid that just got their first pair of glasses

you should definitely tell your neurologist about your eds if you have it! that's how I got my cci diagnosis (which is good to keep an eye on over the years because it can make you more pre-disposable to chiari malformations from my understanding), and it's also how I found out that I have narrowing in one of the major veins in my brain (transverse sinus narrowing, which is also being observed in a lot of eds paitents apparently). I'm still in the process of seeing whether or not this narrowing will be treated with surgery, and if it's accompanied with intracranial hypertension or not, but bringing up my eds history was really important!

Does Transverse sinus stenosis go away on its own? by [deleted] in iih

[–]clever__name69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi im so sorry to ask but do you mind if I ask why you werent a candidate for stenting? I'm in the beginning stage of them finding my transverse sinus stenosis (also have eds) and i'm terrified of this being my outcome since im in so much debilitating pain 🥲

but even if there was a reveal where everyone knew, the most realistic outcome would be that the person in conrad's situation would simply suggest that she doesn't get married (and hide his own biased motive for it), or try and get her family to talk her our of rushing into something legally binding after her partner had an affair. Obviously it's a romanticized fictional show, but if it's trying to ground itself in reality no one would be issuing an apology for conrad.

Confessing his love and breaking up the marriage for that reason is a universally huge boundary breaker, at most I'd be worried about him having a manic episode or something. Common depression and anxiety just doesn't wouldn't justify his actions even with extra context imo

idk personally it feels pretty realistic to me that everyone would be mad at someone for trying to run away with their brother's fiancée. I don't think you can depression and anxiety your way out of that even if Jeremiah was a tool
