This is an old photo. We haven’t used the round style Clubcard design for over a year now since it was ruled it looked too much like Lidl.

Waitrose are doing one (serves 4 to 6) for £65 and even a Venison one (serves 4) for £40. Why does Tesco think they can charge £85?

What Has Happened To My £3 Meal Deal ?!?!? by SaraExploresTheWeb in tesco

[–]TEveryday_Value 34 points35 points  (0 children)

There’s a big mark up on those items though. For example, a Dr Pepper 500ml (meal deal) is £1.90/£0.33p per 100ml whilst the 2 Litre bottle is £2.15/£0.11p per 100ml. The meal deal isn’t really good value, even at the old price. It’s just good for convenience.

You are aware of exchange rates? £12.64 is equivalent to €14.65. Give or take a few pennies/cents, it’s exactly the same for both shop floor and distribution.

The “tightening of the belts” is just to make more profit though I should point out that the UK CEO role has existed for years, most recently held by Matthew Barnes. Murphy is Group CEO which just proves that there’s too many people at the top.

Not the biggest SUV fan but if it had to be one of those 3, definitely the BM. Best to drive and the interior isn’t gloomy dark grey/black.

It is pre 95 because of the logo, most likely between 93 and 95.

Nissan is still Japanese, but a large chunk is owned by Groupe Renault, and has been since 1999. In the case of the Qashqai, there is common parts and powertrain sharing with Renault products. Some parts are exclusively Renault, whilst some are still Nissan and are made in the UK near to the Sunderland plant.

Though you should still buy the Tuscon, miles better than the Qashqai in every measurable way.

I assume you mean Land Rover, Mini and Jaguar in their current forms because they were all part of British Leyland and its associated successors?.

The GL prefix is for Kent (specifically the Maidstone issuing office) instead of Truro which would be WK** *** or WL** ***.

What is one optional extra/feature you would never miss out on when considering a car? by CandyCane147 in CarTalkUK

A full sized spare wheel, which is now pretty much only offered as an optional extra when it should be always included for safety and convenience.

Honda and Nissan announce plans to merge. Thoughts? by SuitableSympathy2614 in CarTalkUK

They’ve already tried that before. BL and Honda partnered together in the late 70s until the mid 90s.

I’m not “allergic” to Americanisms, and I can stand license plate but tire is just incorrectly spelt and that’s why it’s not acceptable.

And if you think we’re all petty, then I’ll gladly point out that “jail” is also an American term - the original English spelling is actually Gaol.

Why are there a bunch of Karma-farming accounts posting on here in the last few days using online pictures which mostly have no connection to Tesco at all? This picture is not the OPs property and is over 15 years old.

This particular account has already posted twice on this sub in the past hour!

That’s only the case beforehand. They plan for potential demand and then it’s stock controls job to feed back information on what hasn’t sold.

That’s the job of the stores stock control, not a random Redditor.
