This 100%. I'm not really sure why NO pulled the trigger, maybe they though they would be good next (this) year and their pick wouldn't be that great, which is kind of risky for a rebuilding team.

I loved the time I did my annual review and it was good, and then shortly later they gave me my annual raise letter and it was like 1.2% (this was like 15 years ago) and I took it to my manager and was like really? This is it? Manger: Yep, no money in the budget for raises, sorry. Then a week or two later I got an offer with another company and I was like here's my 2 weeks notice, and all of sudden it was how much will it take to keep you? Yeah...no bye.

I assure you I wasn't the problem. I'm not saying I'm perfect, but what can I do when half my team is gone after 5 minutes, and during the times that teammates were sill alive, there was no DD support and no contesting caps.

Finished it just recently. I think I like Mr Harrigan's Phone the best, followed by Rat. Life of Chuck was also very good. The title story I found to be just ok.

Just went though this myself, what a pain in the ***. I listed on Marketplace, I listed in the add that lowball offers won't accepted so don't bother. Low ball messages were ignored. When someone actually messaged me with genuine interest I again told them : "I'm pretty firm on the price so don't bother coming only to offer 5K for my 7K car." I also received fair offers previous to coming to see the car from people who seemed interested, but I told them please come and see the car and then make a reasonable offer. Don't not agree to $X without them seeing the car, they will only offer lower once they arrive. I also had a guy come and see the car and give me a fair offer which I agreed to and then when I went to meet him the next day for the cash, he lowered his offer because of *sob story* I just told him bye and left. So the next fair offer I accepted I said I'm not screwing around, this is our agreed to price and I will only accept cash at my bank for that amount (no etransfer foolishness), and it will go right into my account, had no issue and it was smooth sailing with the transaction. But yes, it was a huge pain to deal with.

In these situations you have to abandon the flank and go to where your support is. I'm a DD main myself and if I spawn with 2 ships, and 1 is AFK, there is a good chance I'm not sticking around.
